Matt Schoch: Bio And Media Credits

Matt Schoch is a contributor for PlayMichigan. He’s been reporting on the sports betting industry, online casinos, online poker, and fantasy sports since early 2020. He now manages content for several sites in the Play Network, including Ohio, California and Missouri.

Before covering the gambling industry, Schoch was a newspaper sports reporter for the Detroit News, Virgin Islands Daily News, Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader and Port Huron (Mich.) Times-Herald. He has also covered professional and major college sports for The Associated Press. He earned a degree in journalism from Central Michigan University and grew up in Royal Oak, MI. Schoch lives in downtown Detroit, overlooking Comerica Park.

Schoch is also a former blackjack dealer.
