Thanks in part to a growing presence in Michigan, Aristocrat Gaming is off to a great start to 2023.
During its first-half presentation for fiscal year 2023, Aristocrat reported that it is seeing success in key metrics due to its expansion into North America.
Among that expansion is deals with multiple Michigan online casinos to bring one of the top retail casino game makers into the online industry as well.
Aristocrat adds $143 million in revenue growth
During its 2023 Half Year Profit Announcement, Aristocrat announced that its North American operations had 17.2% revenue growth. Through six months of 2023, it recorded $976.5 million compared to $833.5 in the first six months of 2022.
Aristocrat’s expansion in North America grew by 9% in retail casino units. It now has over 11,000 units in operation in North America.
Anaxi, the online gambling brand of Aristocrat, has created partnerships with online casinos that represent over 55% of the country’s iGaming market share.
“In summary, (the company) delivered a resilient result for the first half of the 2023 financial year, demonstrating excellent fundamentals and strong operational momentum,” Aristocrat stated in the release. “Once again, Aristocrat’s performance highlights the benefit of sustained investment to grow and diversify its operations, including in adjacent markets and segment opportunities.”
Global operations also were up for Aristocrat to the tune of a 27.3% profit increase.
Aristocrat available at multiple Michigan online casinos
Aristocrat made its first splash in Michigan back in February. After securing a supplier license from the Michigan Gaming Control Board, it quickly signed a partnership with BetMGM Michigan.
Aristocrat games immediately began appearing on the BetMGM online platform.
Weeks later, Aristocrat agreed to a partnership with FanDuel Casino MI as well. In recent weeks, Aristocrat has also added part of its online gaming library to the likes of Caesars Casino and Barstool Casino.
Those four online partners alone account for 60% of the Michigan online casino revenue market share. With that kind of representation in Michigan over a matter of months, continued expansion to the state’s other online properties is likely.
Aristocrat, Anaxi working to expand gaming libraries
Aristocrat has been part of the slot gaming industry for decades.
Having some renowned video slot machines at retail casinos, it has used the Anaxi brand to help bring similar games to online casinos here in Michigan.
Top titles from Anaxi include Buffalo, Dragon Link and Lightning Link.
Aristocrat/Anaxi also provides an expansive library of table games, seeking to create immersive and lifelike experiences for the players.
When it comes to retail slots, Aristocrat has been working to re-tool some of their classic slot titles like Buffalo and Pompeii, and upgrading them for high-limit rooms.
Aristocrat has shown that it is willing to catch up to the times, both in retail and online casinos. It’s ability to make something old new again proves it has a long shelf life in this ever-changing industry.
