National Championship Game 2021 Baylor Gonzaga

For bunches of reasons, the 2021 men’s NCAA Tournament has been among the best March Madness sessions in recent memory. There’s one shining moment left for either Baylor or Gonzaga, and for you to take advantage of some last-minute sports betting opportunities on the national championship game.

This report will be short and sweet, just in the same way your time to cash in will be short and sweet. After all, tipoff for the game is 9:20 p.m. ET on Monday. CBS is televising the game.

DraftKings allowing Gonzaga bettors to flip the odds

The national semifinal round on Saturday leaves a short turnaround time for the championship game. Gonzaga defeated UCLA 93-90 in an overtime thriller. Baylor handled Houston 78-59 in the opening game of the day.

Sportsbooks quickly established betting lines for Monday’s title tilt. The consensus odds sit with the undefeated Bulldogs as 4.5-point favorites over the Bears. The point total has settled at 159.5.

DraftKings Sportsbook is enticing bettors with a “flip the odds” opportunity. Instead of betting on the -4.5 line, they are offering even-money +100 odds to take the Zags at +4.5. That’s a 9-point difference, with better odds than the current -4.5 spread.

Now, the maximum wager is $25, so your potential winnings are limited. But if you like Gonzaga, this is a no-brainer line to take.

One word of caution on the game — DraftKings also offered a similar promotion for Gonzaga to cover a 9.5-point spread against UCLA on Saturday. The original line there was -14.5 points. Gonzaga did not come close to covering either number. So at least have your antennae up when pondering this promotion.

BetRivers offering a sort of Jim Nantz special

This week is among the more diverse on the sports calendar. The Final Four finishes today. Major League Baseball is in its first week, and the Masters is contested this weekend. CBS broadcaster Jim Nantz is a lucky man, as he has the call on the basketball game before traveling to Augusta for the weekend.

BetRivers Sportsbook is connecting one big event with the other this week, too. Existing users can get a $25 free bet on the Masters … if they place $100 or more on the national championship game. Odds must be at -200 or greater.

Fans of Gonzaga offense can look to PointsBet

If a high-scoring Gonzaga victory seems to be your prediction, PointsBet is offering a boost on a Bulldogs win if they score 80 points or more. The odds are now +120, up from -120, with a maximum $50 bet.

And, this game will be the last to qualify for that Karma Kommittee free return bet we’ve mentioned several times if you’ve wagered 10 times for a total of $200 or more over the course of the tournament. Check our past coverage for details.
