Tickets, Hotel Stays, Cheap Beer: Michigan Sportsbooks Are Great Options For Your NFL Sundays

Written By Matt Schoch on September 10, 2021

With the NFL season here and many of last year’s coronavirus pandemic restrictions lifted, retail sportsbooks at Michigan casinos are ready to put their best foot forward.

You really can’t come up with many better atmospheres to take in games than the books, which aim for a Las Vegas-like feel across the Great Lakes State.

Here’s how some Michigan sportsbooks will be celebrating the new NFL season and a new beginning for the Michigan sports betting scene.

Barstool Sportsbook at Greektown Casino, Detroit

Barstool Sportsbook at Greektown Casino has been a popular Detroit destination for this summer, particularly on UFC fight nights.

With NFL football season here, it stands to reason that Barstool will again be among the most popular Michigan retail sportsbooks. So you might want to get there early. We’ll have more on the game-day experience later, but there’s a full menu and drink service at the book.

Here are some of the promotions the book is running:

  • Barstool Battle (Survivor Pool): With a $500 entry, select a different NFL winner each week to advance (Sunday games only). There are 19 total contest weeks, with Thanksgiving being its own contest week. Submit weekly entries in person at the sportsbook by 6 p.m. Saturdays. The prize pool (with no rake) will be split evenly to winners in case of a tie. A 19-0 season scores a $500,000 bonus prize. Your team to needs to win for you to advance, and there’s a limit of five entries per person.
  • Choose your Champs: Earn 250 tier points to participate. Stop by the promotional kiosk weekly (Monday through Thursday) to choose the winners of the upcoming week’s NFL games and win up to $500 in Mycash every week, and earn a chance to win tickets for the Big Game for Life. At the end of the weekly choose-the-champs promotion, the top 50 guests with the most total correct points will receive a Mycash prize.
  • Future Frenzy: On Thursdays in September, October and November (excluding Thanksgiving), there will be drawings every 10 minutes from 2 p.m. until 7:10 p.m. Guests who play with their Mychoice card inserted in a slot machine are eligible to win a chance at selecting a number 1-32. Whichever number they select will be an NFL team that they will receive a free $25 futures wager for them to win the Super Bowl.
  • College Football Parlay Party: Your losing college football parlay can turn into a winner. Enter your losing three-plus leg college football parlay tickets to win prizes. Drawings are every other Thursday.
