BetMGM Poker is running its weeklong “Bounty Blitz Poker Fest” starting Sunday, Feb. 20.
Michigan online poker players can participate in 24 poker events from Feb. 20 to 27, with a total of $200,000 in guarantees.
What is BetMGM ‘Bounty Blitz Poker Fest’?
BetMGM Poker’s “Bounty Blitz Poker Fest” will include three online poker events each day starting Sunday, Feb. 20, and ending Sunday, Feb. 27. New Jersey and Pennsylvania will also be holding their own tournaments.
Buy-ins range from $35 to $1,000, and bounties range from $10 to $500. Bounty tournaments allow players to collect money (a bounty) for players they eliminate.
Players in the Michigan tournaments must be physically located within the state in order to play.
“Bounty Blitz puts one of the most entertaining formats in poker in the spotlight for an entire series,” Luke Staudenmaier, Director of Poker at BetMGM, said in a release. “We’re excited to follow-up the New Year Knockout Weekend with even more bounty-centric events at additional, accessible price points.”

The events are being held exclusively in the evening and at night.

- 7 p.m.: $75 Green Chip Bounty ($75 buy-in; $25 bounty)

First major BetMGM event since PokerStars outage
The Bounty Blitz event will be the first major event for BetMGM since its lone online competitor in Michigan, PokerStars MI, suffered a four-day outage at the beginning of the month.
Michigan’s leader in online poker went down for unplanned maintenance Friday, Feb. 4, and wasn’t back up until mid-day Tuesday, Feb. 8.
While BetMGM did not provide specific numbers, it did say it saw an increase in volume over that weekend.
