BetMGM is changing the ways customers can utilize their online and retail casinos, creating a single digital wallet that can be used across all platforms.
Visitors to the MGM Grand Detroit casino resort hotel can now utilize their wallet, which will include BetMGM Reward Points, cash balance, and account information in one place. For the first time, customers of BetMGM can access their rewards (BRPs), personal information, and other information and use it across state lines and in Puerto Rico.
Customers of MGM products can earn Rewards Points and Tier Credits by wagering at BetMGM Sportsbook, BetMGM Casino, and BetMGM Poker. They can also earns perks when they stay, shop, or eat at an MGM-owned property.
BetMGM Chief Executive Officer Adam Greenblatt said in a statement:
“We are committed to streamlining the loyalty experience for our players so they can enjoy the rewards they earn wherever they are in the US. The BetMGM Rewards Program showcases our key differentiators — omnichannel play, the iconic hospitality and MGM Resorts International’s entertainment, and partnerships including our alliance with Marriott Bonvoy. With every bet at the sportsbook and spin of the slot you are earning rewards that can be used online or in-person.”
In addition to the MGM Grand Detroit, MGM Resorts International owns and operates casino resorts in six other states, as well as internationally.
How the Single Digital Wallet Works for BetMGM Customers
Utilizing the single digital wallet won’t be a headache for BetMGM customers.
Here’s the key points to know:
- Under the new single-wallet policy, BetMGM Rewards Points travel with MGM customers in a single account in most markets.
- If a consumer creates a new betting account in a new state or country, their BetMGM Rewards Points balance consolidates and can be used freely.
- BetMGM and MGM customers are able to earn BetMGM Rewards Points and Tier Credits by playing at BetMGM Sportsbook, BetMGM Casino, or BetMGM Poker.
- For example: redeem BetMGM Rewards Points earned through play in the Rewards Store for use as odds boosts and Gametime credits. Or, redeemed your BRP’s at any MGM Resorts International destination. You can subsequently exchange the rewards points for Marriott Bonvoy Points, etc.
BetMGM Sportsbook is available in 29 states, including Michigan. The brand also offers an online casino app in Michigan, making it one of the few states with both legal sports betting and iGaming. BetMGM sports betting app is also available in the District of Columbia, Ontario, and Puerto Rico.
