BetMGM might be making an offer that Michigan online casino players can’t refuse. It has secured an exclusive deal to offer The Godfather slot games for its online casino app in the state. Michigan will be the first state in the US to offer the game, based on an iconic film franchise.

BetMGM Casino Michigan is now the exclusive home for Atlantic Digital games, including “The Godfather” slots based on the Oscar-winning movie.

Atlantic Digital is kicking off that partnership by debuting “The Godfather” slot game on BetMGM, the leader among all Michigan online casinos.

And, the gaming company plans to offer many other titles via BetMGM Casino mobile app in the near future, some attached to television shows and movies.

Eventually, according to Atlantic Digital, The Godfather slot-style game will be offered in other states with legal online casinos where BetMGM is operating. Michigan players are getting a first look at the title and other iGaming content.

Atlantic has a catalogue of more than 1,500 games

Atlantic Digital is based in London, where its studios have created many popular games that are offered in the European market. The company has developed more than 1,500 games for casino operators.

The online casino gaming market in the United States is still emerging. Specifically, online casinos are legal in seven states. Michigan has one of the most mature and active online casino markets in the country, and BetMGM is the top revenue generator among online casino apps in the Great Lakes State.

Godfather film triology one of the most beloved movie franchises

The Godfather film, based on a novel by Mario Puzo, was released in 1972. It won the Academy Award for Best Picture. It was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, who won Best Director, and starred Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, and John Cazale among a star-studded cast.

The sequel in 1974 also won the Best Picture Academy Award. It starred Robert De Niro, Pacino, and many of the stars of the first film. It’s popularity and place as one of Hollywood’s greatest movies has not weakened in the decades since its release.

“The Godfather remains one of the most iconic movies and it is quite fitting that it is the first slot we are offering with Atlantic Digital,” Oliver Bartlett, director of gaming for BetMGM, said in a statement. “BetMGM is proud to be the first to bring The Godfather to the US and its exclusive online casino home. We are always looking to partner with brands our customers love and game studios that are creating new and engaging content.”

Crafting games that feature a brand like The Godfather is a niche that Atlantic Digital is at the forefront of. The use of brands that consumers are aware of from movies, television, and other intellectual property takes a special gaming creation process and patience. Atlantic Digital has proven in Europe that it will develop games based on popular IP.

“The Godfather is just the start. Branded content has always been at the core of the land-based player experience,” said Atlantic Digital CEO Sam Hobcraft. “We at Atlantic Digital are at the forefront of this movement, and, working alongside BetMGM, we will be bringing the highest quality IP online to the U.S.”

BetMGM Casino is available for both iOS and Android devices in Michigan. Players must be at least 21 years of age to download and register to play the apps and games offered.

How to play The Godfather slot game in Michigan

Loyalty, revenge, and maneuvering are at the core of The Godfather universe. And, those themes are also present in the slots game.

According to BetMGM, “players step into the atmospheric and intimidating office of Don Corleone who demands respect, asks for loyalty, and immerses players in the mafia genre.”

The Godfather can be played on the BetMGM Casino app or website. It features a 5×3, 10-line interface. And, it offers all the things players expect: free spins, boosters, as well as a hold-and-win bonus round.
