BetMGM is the online casino market leader in Michigan, and is adding a new set of games to its library. The operator became the first to offer the Dragon Train – Chi Lin Wins in multiple states, including Michigan.

Three more Dragon Chain slots are expected to launch on BetMGM Casino MI soon. Manufactured by Light and Wonder, the titles are extremely popular in the Australia market.

Dragon Train – Chi Lin Wins is one of Light and Wonder’s most popular games. It’s a 5×3 reel with four progressive jackpots, including Fortune 8, Grand, and Major.

The game also has a Hold and Spin option, which triggers the Dragon Train if a player lands on an orb. It also includes new Sticky Reels and a Cash Cluster game. There’s also a mini Hold and Spin feature, which adds credits to an original win and a chance at a Fortune 8 Jackpot.

VP of Gaming Product and Content, Oliver Bartlett, said in a press release:

“BetMGM is honored and excited to be the first iGaming operator to bring Dragon Train to the United States. The game’s incredible performance in Australia set a high standard and we are confident that Light & Wonder has created a game that will captivate players online and on U.S. casino floors.”

The operator plans to launch three more Dragon Train games in feature, which include:

  • Khutulun Battle Princess
  • Sun Shots
  • Forever Emperor

The new slot is expected to be a hit among BetMGM players.

BetMGM makes online investment

BetMGM is still considered the top operator among Michigan online casinos. The brand has accumulated $302.6 million in YTD revenue, compared to FanDuel’s $296.7 million.

During BetMGM’s Q2 2024 earnings call, CEO Bill Hornbuckle told investors that the company made a $1.5 billion investment in the online product.

“We’re not giving up on digital by any stretch,” Hornbuckle said on the call last week. “We still believe it’s a key component of growth, not only within our company, but within the industry. And I think it’s been proven out in several different places.

“We are going to be patient with it for a while.”

MGM Interactive President, Gary Fritz, envisions BetMGM operating its own tech stack in the future for iGaming and sports betting.

BetMGM continues to add new games to its platform. Just last week, it announced the addition of a new hybrid dealer game, MGM Bonus City.

While Hornbuckle appeals for patience, BetMGM is still the top iGaming operator in the Great Lakes State.
