Behind the energy of some new casino games, BetRivers is making a bit of a summer surge here in Michigan.

A few of these fresh offerings at BetRivers Casino could carry the brand’s momentum into the fall.

The Rush Street Interactive brand sits alongside a handful of Michigan online casinos firmly in the middle of the market.

But a partnership with Evolution announced Friday to bring its Red Tiger game studio selections to Michigan could push continued growth for BetRivers. Of course, it still represents just some inching toward the market leaders, who are still miles ahead.

BetRivers growing in both casino revenue, sports betting handle

BetRivers brand was the only one of 13 widely available Michigan brands this summer to increase internet gaming revenue and sports betting handle from June to July.

Michigan online sports betting was down 20.0% in July, though BetRivers saw its handle increase a modest 7.5% to $2.65 million. FireKeepers Sportsbook was the only other brand to increase sports betting handle in July, and that was because it didn’t widely launch until the middle of the month.

BetRivers Sportsbook likely did better than most with Tokyo Summer Olympics handle because of wide offerings and a progressive bet-and-get promotion encouraging more wagers.

For internet gaming, BetRivers was one of eight Michigan brands to tick up a bit in July, likely in part because of live dealer online casino games, which launched July 22, also from Evolution.

BetRivers earned $6.0 million in June revenue, a 6.7% market share. For July, BetRivers increased revenues 13.2% to $6.8 million, a 7.3% market share.

Red Tiger games include Bounty Raid, 777 Strike, Reel Keeper

Red Tiger slot titles Bounty Raid, 777 Strike and Reel Keeper were already available on Friday, bringing the BetRivers online slot count to 254.

That keeps moving BetRivers up the list of industry leaders, as only TwinSpires Casino and BetMGM Casino have more titles.

Friday’s announcement also indicated more is on the way. Red Tiger’s Cash Vault, Piggy Riches Megaways and Gonzo’s Quest Megaways are also coming to Michigan.

BetRivers noted those titles are player favorites for the brand in Pennsylvania.

“We are excited to partner with Evolution to bring these top quality and much-loved Red Tiger casino games to our players in Michigan,” said Richard Schwartz, the CEO of RSI, which operates BetRivers.com. “RSI was the first to debut the Red Tiger games in the U.S. where they are already some of the top performing games in Pennsylvania.  We are thrilled to now launch Red Tiger in Michigan where we are sure these games will become fan favorites for our loyal players there as well.”
