It’s been a big year for Michiganders and the Michigan Lottery.
Over 2022, a total of 46 prizes of $1 million or more have been given out by the Michigan Lottery.
That’s a lot of life-changing money for residents in the last 12 months.

Over 1,000 five-figure winners in 2022
As you see, seven players have won at least $4 million this year playing the Michigan Lottery.
Here’s some other notable stats:

- 397 players have won at least $50,000
- 1,263 players have won at least $10,000
These winnings don’t actually include recent winners of the Big Spin TV Show with John Salley.
Last month we noted that a Waterford man won $2 million on his spin of The Big Wheel.
Walt Belcher, 71, was one of five lucky players drawn to make the Big Spin on TV. Each of the five winners would receive anywhere from $100,000 to $2 million.
The third of four drawings to take part on The Big Spin will be held on Dec. 28.
MI Lottery building off big 2021
Following a successful 2021, the Michigan Lottery made a record $1.419 billion contribution to the School Aid Fund.
The donation was more than $240 million above the 2020 contribution.
The Michigan Lottery has contributed more than $1 billion to the fund in each of the previous three years.
In 2021, Michigan saw a $1 billion Mega Millions winner, as well as a $18.41 million winner through Lotto 47.
