Caesars’ NFL Jersey Offer Is Among The Best In Sports Betting. But What Should You Do With It?

Written By Danny Lawhon on September 8, 2021

In case you haven’t heard, Caesars Sportsbook is running one of the best football promos going this fall. Bet $100 on pro games in September, and get $150 — a massive lift — toward a swanky, authentic NFL jersey.

Seriously, that’s a fantastic deal if you’re at all into the Michigan sports betting scene. And we’ll explain how to do it here in a second. But it got me wondering … what would a Detroit Lions fan do with such an opportunity?

Here are some ideas.

But wait … How do you get the Caesars NFL jersey credit?

We already hinted at the details, which in and of themselves are rather simple. But the important thing is knowing you’re eligible for the reward.

If you haven’t signed up for Caesars Sportsbook, then I would suggest to sign up for Caesars Sportsbook. (Use our bonus code that comes from the link below, while you’re at it.)

Make sure your Caesars Rewards account is activated, and then find the promotion and enter your email address associated with the account to opt in to this particular promotion.

A number of Caesars games and bet types then qualify for you to reach that $100 level and the NFL jersey credit between now and the end of the month.

  • Minimum odds of -200 that will settle within September.
  • Live wagers and all parlays that meet the minimum odds and have at least one NFL leg will qualify.
  • Odds boosts, round robins and teaser bets that meet the minimum odds level are good, too.
  • But any Caesars “super boosts” will be ineligible.

From that point, players should receive their credit in the form of an email voucher sent within a week of hitting the $100 threshold. The offer is valid for one year. Any amount over the $150 credit will be the player’s responsibility, including any requisite tax or shipping fees.

For perspective, the most popular NFL jersey price thresholds run at $149.99 (even for the game’s most popular players), so you’re essentially looking at just paying the tax and shipping fees here. And if you’re in the market for one of those form-fitting, $324.99 elite-level game jerseys, then … well, reconsider, or at least know that you’re getting 46% off, I suppose.

Some options for your Caesars NFL jersey pick

I grew up in Missouri and have had Midwestern sports roots my whole life, so I can’t put myself directly in the mindset of a forever-hard-luck Detroit Lions fan. But pre-Patrick Mahomes, existence as a Kansas City Chiefs supporter brought its own recipe for heartbreak and turmoil.

So I can give my best attempt at how I might go with my jersey selection, were I so inclined.

1. T.J. Hockenson

In this truly rebuilding year (yes, I know you could make jokes about many years, too), the third-year tight end and former first-round pick out of Iowa might be as reliable a bet as any. He played all 16 games in 2020, amassing 67 catches for 723 yards and eight touchdowns while earning a Pro Bowl nod. He’ll likely be around a bit, too.

2.D’Andre Swift

The second-year player showed promise in his 13 games as a rookie in Detroit, garnering eight touchdowns himself and a 4.6 yards-per-carry average. Hopefully the groin injury that plagued his preseason won’t hamper his sophomore campaign.

3. A September surprise

You can bet through September, so why not take a look through September to see what Lions player might step up and perform? A couple of top offensive candidates could include wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown or, yes, even new starting quarterback Jared Goff — even though logic says the latter is a placeholder for the elusive “quarterback of the future.”

On the defensive side, there’s almost nowhere to go but up by top-five-pick standards for cornerback Jeff Odukah. But new head coach Dan Campbell has heaped praise on Odukah this preseason, and national media outlets following the Lions also seem to think Okudah is a breakout candidate.

4. Bank on the alma mater

Detroit still too much of a hopeless case? Then one can always look at an alum from your collegiate squad of choice, especially if you’re a Michigan or Michigan State supporter.

On the Wolverines front, Donovan Peoples-Jones has a place in the wide receiver set with the Cleveland Browns, who are high on the list of greatest AFC threats to the conference stalwart Chiefs. And Kwity Paye could be an Indianapolis Colt for a long time.

For the Spartans fans, with Justin Layne‘s legal issues hopefully in the rear-view mirror, there is a chance of him establishing himself as a regular presence in Pittsburgh with the Steelers.

5. The best of the rest? … Or wait.

And then there’s always waving the white flag and falling into the Mahomes hype. Or, better yet, the Tom Brady state-of-Michigan-connection GOAT-supporting. Or the best holiday gift ever for one of your friends or relatives.

Best of all, though? Again, you’ve got a year to spend that jersey money. A post-2022 NFL Draft purchase might be just the ticket.

Either way, you’ll have plenty of time to think after taking advantage of this deal that’s almost too good to pass up.
