TCU football - College Football Expert Picks

Heading into Week 12 of the college football season, our expert pickers are hoping for something better.

Week 11 was not kind to the panel, with only two managing the slimmest of winning records.

Many of the experts are continuing to go against the nation’s top teams, so we will see if the disrespect finally pays off.

ESPN’s SVP, Stanford Steve & The Bear

It was a collective losing Week 11 for the ESPN trio of Scott Van Pelt, Stanford Steve and The Bear.

Van Pelt managed a 4-3 record while the other two were just 1-2.

So, how do they respond to that? By picking a few more games in Week 12.

Here’s a look at where they are going for the weekend.

SVP (6-5)

  • Army -10 vs. UConn (Win)
  • Baylor +2.5 vs. TCU (Win)

  • Cal -5 vs. Stanford (Win)
  • Cal vs. Stanford Under 46.5 (Loss)

Barstool college football picks

It was a rough outing for Dave Portnoy in Week 11 of the season. The Barstool founder was just 4-7-1 last week to fall to sub.500 on the season at 97-100-4.

Big Cat (217-215-9) has now passed him in the season standings, while Rico (65-82-1) continues to struggle.

One surprise is that Rico actually hit his “Lock of the Week” which is usually a great fade option.

Can he make it two weeks in a row?

Portnoy (3-10)

  • Baylor +2.5 vs. TCU (Win)
  • West Virginia +7.5 vs. Kansas State (Loss)
  • Arizona +4 vs. Washington State (Lock Of The Week) (Loss)
  • Arizona State +8 vs. Oregon State (Loss)
  • Oregon State vs. Arizona State Over 54 (Loss)
  • Kansas +9 vs. Texas (Loss)
  • Texas vs. Kansas Over 63.5 (Win)
  • North Carolina -21 vs. Georgia Tech (Loss)
  • Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma Over 65.5 (Loss)
  • Oklahoma State -7.5 vs. Oklahoma (Loss)
  • Arkansas +2 vs. Ole Miss (Win)
  • UCLA +2.5 vs. USC (Loss)
  • UAB vs. LSU Over 52.5 (Loss)

Big Cat’s Lock of the Week

Navy +17 at UCF (Win)

Rico’s Lock of the Week

Florida State Team Total Over 37.5 vs. Louisiana (Win)

Cash The Ticket Picks

Nobody had a worse week than Mike Valenti in Week 11.

The co-host of the Cash The Ticket podcast was just 1-6-1 last weekend with his CFB picks.

Luckily Jim Costa helped make up for him a little bit with a 4-3-1 record.

In perhaps the biggest surprise of all, the “Costa Lock” actually won last week, ending its run after an 0-4 start.

Valenti is buying some extra half points to try and insure a bounce-back week. Costa decided to dive in head first and pick a dozen games.

Valenti (3-5)

  • Wisconsin -12 at Nebraska (Loss)
  • Baylor +3 vs. TCU (Win)
  • UCLA +1.5 vs. USC (Loss)
  • Clemson -19 vs. Miami (Win)
  • Tennessee -21 vs. South Carolina (Loss)
  • Michigan State -10 vs. Indiana (Loss)
  • Iowa vs. Minnesota Under 32.5 (Win)
  • Utah vs. Oregon Over 62.5 (Loss)

Costa (7-3-1)

  • USC -1.5 at UCLA (Win)
  • Oregon -3 vs. Utah (Push)
  • Baylor +2.5 vs. TCU (Win)
  • Oklahoma State +7.5 at Oklahoma (Loss)
  • Washington State -3.5 at Arizona (Win)
  • Buffalo -13.5 vs. Akron (PPD)
  • Clemson -19 vs. Miami (Win)
  • Tennessee -21.5 vs. South Carolina (Loss)
  • Illinois vs. Michigan Under 42.5 (Win)
  • Ohio State vs. Maryland Under 64.5 (Loss)

  • N.C. State vs. Louisville Under 45.5 (Win)
