Week 8 of the College Football season will have a tough time living up to the excitement that Week 7 provided.

Thrilling finishes were combined with a set of “bizarro” results from our College Football picks.

The reliable prognosticators struggled, while the struggling pickers looked pretty reliable last week.

What can the Michigan sports bettors expect for Week 8, which includes five matchups of Top 25 teams?

ESPN’s SVP, Stanford Steve & The Bear

The ESPN trio of Scott Van Pelt, Stanford Steve and The Bear had been the most reliable picking trio of this group.

However, Week 7 proved to be too difficult for these three.

While others thrived, The Bear went 0-3, while Stanford Steve was 2-3 and SVP was just 5-4.

All remain over .500 on the season, led by The Bear’s 22-12-1, while SVP is 8 games over .500.

Can they get back on the winning track for Week 8?

Barstool college football picks

It was quite a week for Dave Portnoy at Barstool.

He put up an impressive 10-4 record on his college picks, including a win on his Lock of the Week of Georgia -38 vs. Vanderbilt.

Portnoy needed the big week, as it moves his overall record to 67-61-3.

Big Cat and Rico each missed their Lock of the Week in Week 7. Big Cat sits at 141-144-7 on the season, while Rico is just 50-57-1.

Let’s see if Portnoy can build off last week’s hot picks in Week 8.

Cash The Ticket Picks

The Cash The Ticket duo of Mike Valenti and Jim Costa haven’t been shy about their struggles picking college football games in 2022.

However, Costa finally broke through in Week 7 with a 5-2 record. Valenti went 3-3 to maintain a level of respectability in recent weeks.

For Week 8, the two had a little confidence in their picks on the Cash The Ticket Podcast.

Will Costa be able to put together two strong showings in a row?
