It was a big weekend for Bryson DeChambeau. The powerful young golfer captured the Arnold Palmer Invitational title in Orlando on Sunday.
This week, DeChambeau heads to The Players Championship. And DraftKings Sportsbook wants Michigan sports bettors to cash in. Simply put, a $5 bet could net $250.
Here’s how it plays out.

Bryson DeChambeau on a hot streak
DeChambeau comes into The Players Championship as one of the favorites already.
DraftKings is listing Dustin Johnson as the favorite at +1100 to win this weekend. DeChambeau joins Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm as golfers listed at +1400 to win the tournament.
Patrick Cantlay, Tony Finau and Xander Schauffele each are listed at +1800 to win this weekend.
As we noted, the odds for returning betters on a top-5 finish for DeChambeau is +350. That’s quite a difference from +5000.
Can he do it, though? Well… yes and no.
Players Championship not DeChambeau’s best event
With Sunday’s victory, DeChaumbeau has climbed up to No. 6 in the world golf rankings. The win was the 10th of his young career and his first in 2021.
This year, DeChambeau has played in five tournaments. He has finished in the top 10 in two of them, but his lone top-5 finish was Sunday’s victory.
Last year, DeChambeau had two wins and 11 top-10 finishes out of 19 tournament appearances. That included seven top-5 finishes.
The Players Championship has not been DeChambeau’s best event. He finished 37th in 2018 and 20th in 2019.
However, it was in 2020 that DeChambeau completely changed his approach to his golf game. He tacked on a lot of muscle mass to add driving power.
He led the PGA in driving distance in 2020, averaging 322.1 yards per drive. This year, he is averaging 323.5 yards per drive to lead the tour. The average drive on tour is just 295.2 yards.
Last year also saw DeChambeau earn his first two top-5 finishes in majors. He was fourth in the 2020 PGA Championship, while winning the 2020 US Open.
As a lover of golf and its history, DeChambeau is likely very eager to put on his best showing in this prestigious event this week.
For new DraftKings Sportsbook players, there’s a chance to enjoy a hefty odds boost, too.
