DraftKings Casino MI has a new blackjack game, but this one goes well beyond simply dressing up the classic table game. DraftKings Bingo Blackjack adds an entirely new element and strategy, with a chance at much bigger payouts.
Bingo Blackjack went live this week at DraftKings online casino in Michigan.

DraftKings isn’t shy about adding new blackjack games to its Michigan online casino.
The brand built on daily fantasy sports offers its customers several themed blackjack games. Those games are just blackjack with different graphics.
DraftKings Bingo Blackjack is not that — although it does have some shiny new and different graphics, including an opening that makes you feel like you’re about to be on the hot seat of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”
Bingo Blackjack is really two games in one. You’re trying to beat the dealer in a normal game of blackjack, but you’re also trying to hit a target number and win a game of Bingo at the same time to make more money. It adds an interesting layer of strategy.
How to play DraftKings Bingo Blackjack in Michigan
To start a game of DraftKings Bingo Blackjack, select your stake for the hand, like you would for any game of blackjack. When you make that bet, though, an extra 20% is going toward a “Bingo Activator.”
So, if you bet $5 on a hand, you’re actually betting $6. If you bet $25, you’re actually betting $30, etc. That may seem odd, but it’s part of what makes this game fun.
The Bingo Activator gives you two balls: a multiplier and a target hand number. If you hit the target number and win the hand, the full bet gets paid out times the multiplier. For example, I won (while playing on demo mode) a $25 hand ($30 bet) with the target number and a 5x multiplier, so I was paid $150.
Possible multipliers are 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x and 100x. Target hands could be anywhere from 12 to 21.
The target hand is where the strategy comes in, because ultimately, you’re still trying to win a hand of blackjack against the dealer. Simply doing that still pays 1-to-1 — or 3-to-2 on a blackjack — on the non-Bingo Activator portion of your bet.
So, do you chase the target hand when conventional wisdom says to stay? Or do you stay at your target hand of 12 and hope the dealer busts?
It probably depends on how big that multiplier is, but it’s really two games in one.
