Los Angeles Chargers Thursday Night Football prop odds
Thursday night’s matchup should be a great one for Michigan sports bettors and football fans alike.
The Chargers and Chiefs were among two of the highest-scoring offenses in the league last year. They also feature two of the NFL’s top young quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert.
Herbert is in his third year under center for the Chargers and finds himself as one of the favorites for NFL MVP this season. DraftKings currently lists him at +750 to take home the Player of the Year honor.
Herbert opened the season with 279 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1.
When it comes to prop odds for Thursday’s game with the Chiefs, Herbert is listed with an over/under of 284.5 passing yards. His passing touchdowns are listed with an over/under of 1.5. The over carries a line of -220.
Herbert could be without his top receiver in Keenan Allen on Thursday. Allen is dealing with a hamstring injury that has him listed as doubtful to play.
Oddsmakers expect Mike Williams to be Herbert’s top target in Week 2. His over/under for receiving yards is listed at 66.5. Running back Austin Ekeler is listed with an over/under of 37.5 receiving yards. Josh Palmer (44.5 yards) and Gerald Everett (39.5) are other receivers with prop odds available.
