DraftKings Squares, Super Bowl Squares

Those that love Super Bowl Squares no longer have to wait for the big game to play.

One of the top Michigan online sportsbooks is now making that a feature for all NFL games.

Instead of relying on the luck of the draw, DraftKings Sportsbook MI allows you to take control of the squares you want.

With profitable odds at all options, perhaps “DK Squares” is just what you’ve been looking for on NFL gamedays.

How do squares work on DraftKings Sportsbook MI

DraftKings Squares screenshotDraftKings Squares takes the fun of your typical Super Bowl Squares format and puts the power in the hands of the consumer.

Each NFL game will feature a list of betting options, with one number assigned to the home team and another to the away team. What those numbers represent is the last digit in a team’s score.

So, if you have a square that has the Detroit Lions 3 and Green Bay Packers 6, you would win if those numbers are the score at the end of one of the quarters of the game.

You would win if the Packers led the Lions 6-3 at the end of a quarter. You would also win if the Lions led 13-6 at the end of a quarter. Only the last number of the team’s score applies to the square.

Typically, with Super Bowl squares, the numbers are randomly generated on a 10×10 grid with names assigned to all 100 spots prior to the numbers being drawn.

In the case of DK squares, all 100 options for a scoring combination are listed and each combo is given odds.

You select the square, or squares, you feel best about and place your wager. Should any of the four quarters end with the score you selected, you win based on the odds for your square.

“Our DraftKings Squares offering is popular with our customers, especially with the NFL Playoffs and the Super Bowl coming up,” said DraftKings Race and Sports Operations Director Johnny Avello. “It’s a novel feature that all customers can enjoy because it allows them to engage in the game in a different way no matter how savvy they are as sports bettors. There are a ton of exciting scoring options to choose from which can only be found on the DraftKings Sportsbook app.”

DraftKings also has the option to select a square for just the final result, which provides longer odds for each option.

What are the odds for DK Squares?

The odds vary by game based on a team’s scoring trends, both offensively and defensively.

DraftKings lists the options based on the shortest odds, which tends to be 0-0.

The more popular squares still have +odds. You’re likely to see the shortest odds for a square at +200 or greater.

The more improbable scores, like 8-8 or 2-2, find themselves typically around +7500.

When moving to the final results option, which also eliminates any tied squares, the shortest odds shift to around +2000.

Where can I find DK Squares at DraftKings Michigan?

Next time you log into DraftKings Sportsbook MI, head to the NFL section.

In the list of different NFL betting options, as you continue to move to the right, you will see “DK Squares” as an option.

Selecting that will present you with the upcoming games, as well as the betting options.

BetRivers Sportsbook Michigan NFL Squares

Another online sportsbook tapping into the squares phenomenon is BetRivers Sportsbook MI.

Their approach is a little different, as BetRivers Squares is part of a promotional offer instead of a wagering option.

When you bet $10 on an NFL game, you earn a square. If you bet $50, you get an additional square. If you bet $100, you get a third and final square.

Your squares are assigned at random with a number representing the road team and the other representing the home team for the game you wagered on.

If your square matches the final score, you win $20, $50 or $100 in bonus money. The prize amount will be revealed when you win.

You can boost your potential payout up to $10,000 by placing a $5 or greater same game parlay on the contest.

What are the most common scores in the NFL?

The fascination with scores in the NFL has grown in recent years.

You may have heard the term “scorigami” a few times during the 2022-23 NFL season.

A scorigami is a unique NFL final score that has never occurred in history. That happened three times during this season. In total, 1,075 different final scores have now been achieved in NFL history.

Coming into the 2022 season, the following results were the five most common final scores in NFL history:

  • 20-17: 274 times
  • 27-24: 224 times
  • 17-14: 198 times
  • 23-20: 193 times
  • 24-17: 170 times

Last year for Super Bowl LV, we looked at the most common Super Bowl squares that hit over a 20-year period.

  • 92.5% of the time, the score at the end of a quarter involved a 0, 3, 4, or 7.
  • Any square with 2, 5, 8 or 9 has accounted for just 13.8% of the winning quarters in history. In all, 44 boxes hold one of those numbers.
  • Without designating by team, the 7-0 pairing has hit in 20.9% of the first quarters in the study. A 0-0 is next at 19.1%, while 3-0 is at 16.4%. Last year, the end of the first was a 7-3 score, which accounts for 7.7% of the first-quarter winners.
  • At halftime, 4-0 has been the most consistent result at 11.4%. Second-best for the half has been 7-3, accounting for 9.5% of winners.
  • A 7-0 mark also stands as the most frequent winner after the third quarter (9.1%) and the fourth quarter (10.5%).
