The Michigan online sports betting scene got the tiniest taste of football action earlier this year. But the main course starts has been served, as a full season of NFL football action is now here — and so do the betting promos that come with it.
Bettors are hoping to add an extra layer of entertainment to their Sunday (and Thursday … and Monday) rituals. Sportsbooks are looking to capitalize on the interest, dishing out football betting promos with the hopes of acquiring season-long customers.
Many promotions revolve around the featured games on the weekly slate. And you know sportsbooks will lean heavily into the Detroit Lions, given that Michigan is a key sports betting market nationally.

DraftKings Sportsbook: Sign-up bonus gives $200 in bonus bets
DraftKings Sportsbook has a great sign-up deal for new users, giving eight $25 bonus bets ($200 total) after you place your first bet of at least $1 on a college or pro football game.
Once you’re in, then you can opt-in to a great Week 1 promotion where DK is giving 20% profit boosts to each of the Sunday afternoon games. That’s 13 games (with a max $50 bet).
Draftkings‘ Big Bet Bonus promotion from throughout the summer is also still running. If you haven’t taken advantage of it yet, you can receive a $300 bonus bet after placing a qualifying wager for $600 or more. That promotion runs through Sept. 30.
DraftKings also has same-game parlay running for Week 1, up to $25. If you lose, you receive $25 in a bonus bet back. Same-game parlays are now available on desktop, in addition to mobile.
Caesars: You know Caesars Sportsbook is coming strong with deals
After the re-brand to Caesars Sportsbook last month, the NFL betting promos are still in high gear for Michigan sports bettors.
The sportsbook formerly known as William Hill has been the best shop for near-daily baseball deals this season, and that trend should continue with football betting promos this fall.
Here’s one that was added last week: Bet $100 combined on NFL games through Sept. 30, and you get a bonus authentic NFL jersey. Qualifiers will be sent a digital gift card for NFLShop.com with a $150 credit toward a jersey of their choice.
Caesars also added a chance to win $10 million by betting on Monday Night Football each week.
To win: Place a $10 straight, standard pre-game bet on the Monday Night Millions — Max $100 Bet” promotion market each of the 17 MNF games, in addition to one game each playoff weekend.
Win four weeks in a row, get a $50 bet. Eight in a row gets you a $500 bet. Twelve in a row? $5,000. Go 21-for-21 for $10 million. But you don’t have to be perfect to win big. If you win the most total games in your state, you win $250,000.
Do you want to go to the Super Bowl? Caesars can help there. The sportsbook is featuring the Super Bowl LVI Royal Giveaway. There, $10-plus bets on any NFL market earns an entry into the grand prize and monthly drawings.
The grand prize is two tickets to the Super Bowl, a two-night stay at a Caesars Rewards Las Vegas resort, a private jet to/from Los Angeles, along with round-trip travel to Las Vegas. The runner-up prize is two tickets to the Super Bowl, a two-night stay in LA, along with round-trip travel.
The first monthly prize, with a drawing on Oct. 6, is two tickets to a New Orleans Saints game as well as round-trip travel to New Orleans and a two-night stay at Harrah’s New Orleans.
Caesars also has a Bet The Board promotion for Week 1. Bet $100 or more on the point spread for Sunday games and win a $1,000 bet if you get 10 of the games correct. There are 14 games, though you don’t have to bet them all.
There’s also a Total Pointage promotion for the Arizona vs. Tennessee game. Bet $50 or more on the over/under, and if you’re right, you win a bonus $50 bet.
Caesars is one to check daily for the latest offers, and you can get yourself started with up to $5,000 on your first Caesars bet.
PointsBet: No juice odds for all Week 1 NFL games
PointsBet Sportsbook is setting all spread odds for every Week 1 NFL game at +100 (no juice). The no juice games will be available 48 hours before kickoff.
Other promotions to start the season include a a $20 bet on any market with a minimum of -200 odds for Sunday Night Football between the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears. Be sure to opt-in on the Promos page before placing those bets.
PointsBet also has a deal where if you opt-in and place $100 on any Week 1 NFL game, and you receive up to $250 in bonus casino spins.
New PointsBet customers can get their first bet up to $2,000.
WynnBET Sportsbook: Triple the spread for Lions vs. 49ers
WynnBET Sportsbook is offering up what should be a nice money-maker for NFL fans in Week 1.
The Triple The Spread promotion does just that for the Detroit Lions Week 1 game. In Michigan, the spread is being tripled for the Lions opener on Sunday against San Francisco. With a $20 maximum bet, the Lions line is boosted to +22.5 against SF.
WynnBET also has a $1,000 first bet upon sign-up.
FanDuel Sportsbook: McAfee giveaway hands Michigan players $10
FanDuel Sportsbook is using one of its celebrity endorsers for its first big Week 1 promotion.
In the McAfee Giveaway, with former Indianapolis punter Pat McAfee serving as the talent in promotional material, players get $10 back if their first Week 1 bet after opt-in loses. The $10 refund is issued in site credit.
New users can win $200 on a $5 bet for their first wager, using enhanced 40/1 odds for a moneyline wager.
BetMGM: Make a futures wager, get a bonus bet; $10 bonus for Thursday, Sunday
BetMGM Sportsbook has a Week 1 NFL promotion where players can earn a $10 bonus bet by placing a $25 futures wager.
Make sure to opt-in through the Promotions section before you bet.
That promotion is in addition to BetMGM’s old reliable: Opt-in, and make $50 of qualifying wagers every week. Then you’ll receive a $10 bonus bet every Monday as part of the Money Monday Club.
BetMGM also added another promotion where bettors get a bonus $10 bet for any game on Sunday.

BetRivers Sportsbook has a Beat the Spread Challenge this year for Michigan users with a $1 million prize pool. To enter, place at least $25 on NFL spreads (-125 odds or greater), and earn 1 point for each winning wager you make. The designated bonus “Game of the Week” pick can earn 3 points.
Each week, the top 200 players will receive a prize. A single weekly winner will claim $5,000 of bonus money. If you bet and win every game in a week, you win the “Perfect Week Prize” — a $500 bonus bet.
