GameCode's Boom Boom Boom game. BetMGM is hoping its partnership with game supplier GameCode will help drive the online casino back to the number one spot in Michigan.

MGM recently partnered with GameCode to better bolster its iGaming options in Michigan and beyond.

The partnership promised cutting edge slot machine games for MGM’s online casino platform and now all the GameCode slot machine games are available in Michigan.

GameCode is a leading game developer in the online gaming space and gaining access to its offerings could be a big boost for BetMGM Michigan.

As BetMGM continues to fend off other Michigan online casino operators to hold onto its top spot, this new partnership with GameCode is key to retaining market share.

BetMGM is adding to its iGaming offerings to regain top spot in Michigan

After 39 consecutive months as the leading iGaming operator in Michigan, BetMGM is starting to lose its grip on that title. In both March and April, FanDuel has exceeded BetMGM in monthly revenue.

Since the inception of Michigan online casinos, BetMGM has generated nearly $1.8 billion of revenue which far exceeds any other operator. FanDuel is second in lifetime Michigan iGaming revenue with $1.05 billion; a whopping $747.2 million difference.

In the last couple of months, FanDuel has exceeded $50 million in monthly iGaming revenue in Michigan. In both March and April, it was FanDuel that led the state in online casino revenue; not BetMGM.

MGM is aware it is losing market share and its new partnership with GameCode was agreed to with the hope it will help reclaim the top spot in Michigan.

PlayMichigan has confirmed that the entire suite of GameCode slot games is available through BetMGM Michigan. Previously, only some games were available, and more were expected to be added down the line. That promise has now come to fruition.

Oliver Bartlett is the Vice President of Gaming Product and Content for BetMGM. He said BetMGM is already seeing early success with GameCode games. In a BetMGM release, he said:

“Boom Boom Boom™ and other GameCode titles have already proven to be strong performers in their first few weeks of launch at BetMGM.

“Our mission is to always innovate with in-house, exclusive content with Entain and partners like GameCode to provide our players with an iGaming experience that rises above the rest. This will continue to position us as a destination for players and first choice for suppliers of premium content.”

The reason for the success is that these games are not designed to be disposable and replaced. They state-of-the-art and can continue being big hits for MGM and other operators for years to come.

GameCode has thrived by creating games that stand the test of time

GameCode’s business plan to create iGaming options with staying power is what made the developer attractive for MGM.

MGM needs long-lasting success to reclaim its market share. Any short term solution is unlikely to make a large enough difference. So, a partnership with an online casino game developer that values long-lasting games over disposable options seems to be an ideal match.

GameCode Chief Executive Officer Matt Hanski outlined that difference in his statement on the partnership.

“At GameCode, we focus on creating good games rather than disposable online gaming content. With experience gained in North American land-based casino, we provide a unique understanding of the market and player needs. We aim to make an impact with each title we release and so far we do so. We innovate at a pace that is difficult to catch up with, providing something new every time we launch a title that players have not seen before.”

With the partnership now agreed to and launched, GameCode’s Chief Technology Officer Wojciech Ziniewicz said he is extremely excited. He said the games will be an ideal option for gamblers across Michigan.

“I’m excited to announce our launch with BetMGM, introducing advanced online slot games powered by our robust in-house technology. These games are hosted on our state-of-the-art Remote Gaming Server (RGS) which is the backbone of its performance and security. It is a long-term play to develop and maintain a RGS that is designed with multiple layers of protection, ensuring the highest standard of data security and integrity in compliance with U.S. regulations. This launch is a testament to our dedication to providing secure, reliable, and immersive gaming experiences.”
