Last month, a lucky Grandville man was able to win the largest jackpot that Gun Lake Casino has ever given out.
Getting the right spin on an Ultimate Fire Link Explosion slot machine paid out over $700,000 to the Michigan native.
And, it was just the latest six-figure payout from a Michigan retail casino and Michigan online casinos in 2023.
Gun Lake winner gets record jackpot
On Aug. 25, the Grandville player known only as “John” stepped up to the Ultimate Fire Link Explosion machine and won big.
He picked up a progressive jackpot total of $727,270. It is the largest single jackpot amount given out since the casino opened up in 2011.
“Here at Gun Lake Casino, we were thrilled by the payout to the lucky guest from West Michigan of over $727,000. We congratulate John on his terrific win from the progressive jackpot,” said Jose Flores, Sr. vice president and general manager of Gun Lake Casino in a press release.
For the year, Gun Lake Casino has paid out over $76.8 million to jackpot winners.
BetMGM Michigan over $75 million in jackpots for 2023
The Gun Lake jackpot dished out last month is one of many six-figure rewards handed out this year through Michigan’s retail and online casino industry.
Through the first half of 2023, BetMGM Michigan announced that it had given out nearly $75 million in progressive jackpots through its Michigan online casino platform.
Specifically, that $75 million included 10 different jackpots of $445,000 or more through the first six months of the year.
The highest jackpot that BetMGM gave out in the first half of 2023 was $799,049. It happened on May 15 on MGM Grand Millions Megaways.
As well, Four Winds Casino runs its own name-brand online casino. It dished out a $415,919 jackpot prize back on May 26 to a player competing on Divine Fortune Megaways.
