Gun Lake Offering Players A Shot At $1 Million Every Saturday In April

Excited woman is popping out of the top of a mile of money. A series of hourly draws on Saturday evenings this month will determine which four guests get to spin the Millionaire Maker Wheel.

April is the month of the millionaire at Gun Lake Casino.

The Wayland gambling and entertainment venue announced Monday that starting Saturday, April 6, players will have the chance to walk away with $1 million as part of its Millionaire Maker promotion. With draws set for every Saturday in April, there is no shortage of opportunities for guests to act out their best Dr. Evil impressions.

Per Gun Lake, a series of hourly draws will determine which four guests get to spin the Millionaire Maker Wheel. The chosen guests will then spin the wheel each Saturday night (Apr. 6, 13, 20, and 27) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Michigan Casino.

Millionaire Maker draws tied to GLC Rewards program

To be eligible for the hourly draws, players must first be members of the GLC Rewards program. Luckily, for those who aren’t already members, the sign-up process is easy and free of charge.

“Signing up for Rewards is quick and simple,” said Carter Pavey, Vice President of Marketing. “If you are at least the age of 21, simply come to either of the Rewards Centers at the casino with a valid ID, and you can be signed up in a matter of minutes, and it is free.”

Once registered, players can then begin to earn points to put towards the Millionaire Maker promo. According to contest rules, rewards members will receive one entry for every 50 points earned from slot or table games between Mar. 31 and Apr. 27, 2024.

What’s more, GLC subscribers can acquire double the entries every Tuesday this month by physically playing casino games on-site. Players will need to exchange the points they’ve earned during the live contest window for entries at Promotional Kiosks throughout the facility. There is, however, a cap of 2,500 drawing entries per guest.

GLC rewards cardholders will also earn access to a bevy of traditional year-round benefits, including discounts and giveaways.

Gun Lake can’t stop making moves

It’s been a busy stretch for Gun Lake recently and the Millionaire Maker promo is yet another step in a long line of moves dedicated to improving customer experience.

The 13-year-old facility added two heavyweights on the operations side of things in the past two months. Gun Lake anointed industry veteran Trevor Hayden as its Vice President of Operations back in March. The announcement came less than two weeks after the highly regarded Ronaldo Pascual joined under the title of Director of Hotel Operations.

Both newcomers will certainly play an integral role in the property’s Phase 5 expansion project.

The $300 million expansion will be complete in March of 2025. It will add a 252-room, 15-story hotel tower that will transform the property into a Four-Diamond hotel resort. The project includes construction of an aquadome featuring three indoor pools under a 32,000-square-foot dome. The area will feature a year-round temperature of 80 degrees.

Gun Lake, owned by the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians, also recently announced a $10 million project to add a new high-limit table games room and a restaurant featuring Asian cuisine.

The casino currently offers:

  • 2,300 slot machines
  • more than 50 table games
  • a live poker room
  • sportsbook
  • keno
  • four restaurants
