Horseshoe Casino is showing promise in Michigan, as Caesars launched the brand in the first week of October. Now that the operator is getting its feet wet, Michigan players might start seeing more Horseshoe promotions pop up over the next month or so.
Because of Horseshoe Casino Michigan‘s success in the early going, Caesars has expanded the product into Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ontario.
The Caesars Palace Michigan platform is expected to be the company’s flagship app. However, signs are pointing to Horseshoe performing well in the Great Lakes State, which should translate to other jurisdictions, too.
Players expected to see more promos soon
Once the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) releases October revenue later this month, there will be a better indicator of how Horseshoe has performed after going live nearly a month ago in the Great Lakes State.
Despite not having solid numbers, Caesars President of Sports and Online Gaming, Eric Heisson, spoke about Horseshoe’s start in Michigan during the company’s Q3 2024 earnings call.
“Everything we’re seeing is positive. Customers like the app, they’re staying on the app.”
That’s certainly good news for a new Michigan online casino operator gaining traction into a fresh market.
The Michigan launch has gone according to plan, as Caesars took the product into three other states this week, alone. This sets the stage for the Horseshoe to become even more visible in the markets its currently live in, according to Heisson.
“So I think what you’ll see in the next month or so as we ramp up a little bit more of the advertising and marketing, particularly in now that we have three [US] states live.”
Marketing usually comes in the form of bonuses and promotions. Horseshoe players should look out for them in the very near future.
Caesars already had an existing customer base
Since Caesars acquired WynnBET’s license, it had the luxury of converting an existing customer base. That has gone over smoothly, Heisson noted:
“We did convert over the Wynn customers since we took over their skin and they converted over very well. They’re playing well and they are contributing the majority of the business right now.”
Caesars CEO, Tom Reeg, explained the migration in greater detail for investors during the call.
“Not only did we not have friction where we lost customers, we actually grew that business versus where it was when it was Wynn.”
Horseshoe certainly has a leg-up in Michigan because of an already existing customer base. Now that the brand is nearly a month in, players should be ready for promotions and bonuses to come their way. The goal of Horseshoe will be to attract and retain new customers.
