Detroit Lions fans are in a familiar mood.
The Lions teased the fanbase with a road win, leading the Minnesota Vikings by double digits on two occasions in Week 3. Then, they proceeded to let them down with a last-minute loss, 28-24, to fall to 1-2 on the 2022 NFL Season.
Good news for Michigan sports bettors is that the Lions covered another spread to move to 3-0 against the spread this season.
For Week 4, the Lions find themselves as a home favorite when they host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Can Detroit rebound once again at Ford Field?
Lions vs. Seahawks NFL Week 4 Odds
The Detroit Lions return home in Week 4 to play host to the struggling Seattle Seahawks.
As of now, the Lions odds are down to 4 points. They opened as a 6-point favorite, but have seen the spread drop quickly due to their injuries. Receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was ruled out Friday for the Lions, while running back D’Andre Swift is very likely to miss the game.
The over/under total opened at 48 points at most sportsbooks. It briefly moved up to 50 points, but has come back to 48 since.
Detroit Lions betting trends
The Lions had a disappointing loss to the Vikings in Week 3, but did manage to cover as a 5.5-point underdog at kickoff. The Lions are a perfect 3-0 ATS in the 2022-23 season.
Detroit is now 14-6 against the spread in its last 20 games.
Seattle suffered a 27-23 loss at home to Atlanta in Week 3. The Seahawks are now 1-2 overall and 1-2 against the spread after being a 1-point favorite against the Falcons.
Lions vs. Seahawks history
These two teams have met just 16 times in their history. Seattle owns an 11-5 advantage over Detroit over those 16 meetings.
Currently, Seattle has won and covered the spread in three straight meetings with the Lions. That includes a 51-29 win in Seattle last season on Jan. 2.

NFL Week 4 Prop Odds: Jamaal Williams rushing yards
The Detroit Lions have been clear about establishing the run in the 2022 NFL Season.
They currently are in the top five in the NFL in rushing offense at 170.3 yards per game.
Against the Vikings, the Lions utilized three backs in regular rotation. With Swift continuing to deal with, and aggravating, his ankle injury, the Lions let Jamaal Williams handle most of the carries.
Williams had 20 carries, while Swift was limited to seven and Craig Reynolds had six.
This week, with Swift likely to be on the sidelines, that opens the door for Williams to be the featured back against Seattle once again.
Williams took his 20 carries against Minnesota and turned it into 87 yards with two touchdowns. It was his highest rushing total in a game as a Lion.
Williams will be up against a Seattle defense that is giving up 162 rushing yards per game, which ranks near the bottom of the league. The Atlanta Falcons put up 179 yards in Seattle on Sunday.
“Williams saw an increase in playing time and carries against the Vikings. Detroit’s backup running back secured 20 carries, while Swift only had seven. I would expect a slight uptick in Swift’s production at home, but Williams has shown he can also be a part of the game plan as well,” said John Maakaron of All Lions. “I expect Williams to secure 80 yards and be used again in short yardage situations near the goal line. He is likely good for 1-2 more touchdowns this week against the Seahawks.”
Currently, there are no prop odds available for Williams’ rushing yards in Week 4. Check back during the week for an update look at his prop odds.
NFL Week 4 Prop Odds: Kenneth Walker III rushing yards
Fans of Michigan State football will be able to see a familiar face at Ford Field this week.
Last year’s Doak Walker Award winner, Kenneth Walker III, will be suiting up for the Seahawks.
The rookie running back missed the first game of the season due to a hernia, but has appeared in the last two weeks.
Walker has rushed for just 29 yards on seven carries through his two games, but is likely to become a bigger part of the offense as the season progresses.
Could that start in Detroit, where Walker will have some added motivation? Rashad Penny remains Seattle’s primary back with 32 carries and 141 yards.
Detroit’s run defense hasn’t been terribly strong. The Lions are giving up 142.3 yards per game on the ground right now. In Sunday’s loss to Minnesota, Dalvin Cook rushed for 96 yards on 17 carries. Alexander Mattison added 28 yards on seven carries.
“Boy, do the Michigan State Spartans miss Walker’s presence. While his productivity in the NFL has not been stellar, he could be part of the game plan this week against Detroit. I do not expect Walker to light up the stats this week, as the team is looking to get to .500. Rashaad Penny is the primary option on the Seahawks roster. I expect Walker to record less than 35 yards this week in Detroit,” said Maakaron.
Currently, there are no prop odds available for Walker’s rushing yards in Week 4. Check back during the week for an update look at his prop odds.
