The Thanksgiving holiday is a time for family, but also a time for giving.
A pair of Michigan casinos are getting into that holiday spirit, and will being doing their part to give back.
Gun Lake Casino and FireKeepers Casino Hotel are both making sure people in their communities will have something to be thankful for this season.
Toys for Tots event at Gun Lake
Gun Lake Casino will be hosting an event on Saturday in support of the Lakeshore Toys for Tots organization.
The casino will be hosting an outdoor fundraising event for the whole family to enjoy. It begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. on the patio outside of the CBK restaurant.
“This holiday season Gun Lake Casino is once again proud to partner with Lakeshore Toys for Tots in their mission to bring holiday cheer to area children,” said Gun Lake Casino’s CEO, Salvatore Semola in a press release. “We have a fun, family-friendly event coming up to kick-off our season of giving. We’re excited to see our community members and their families for some holiday fun on November 26th.”

Guests that bring a new unwrapped gift, accompanied by a receipt, may also receive up to $50 in bonus slot play for their donation.
Collections for the Toys for Tots program will take place until Dec. 18.
