NCAA Tournament bettors may not even have to win a wager this March Madness in order to become a millionaire.
You’re reading that right: Daily fantasy giant and online sports betting provider FanDuel is running a contest in 10 states, including Michigan, where simply betting on the men’s basketball extravaganza gives you a chance to win a $1 million prize.
To top it off, the Michigan sportsbook is also doing a special offer just for Michigan State fans.
Place an NCAA Tournament bet, maybe win $1 million
The rules from FanDuel Sportsbook are simple.
Every day, from now through April 4, account-holders can enter into the million-dollar drawing by placing a bet on any Division I tournament game. Any market, including wagering on futures, is fair game. So you can knock out one entry right away if you think the Michigan Wolverines will make a deep NCAA Tournament run.
Make any college hoops bet, and you’ll receive an entry into the company’s contest. There’s no minimum wager amount required, and you can earn a fresh entry every day. With the contest running for three weeks, that’s more than 20 chances to win, even if your bet’s a loser.
The entry deadlines run until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time each night, so just bear that in mind if you’re a midnight-oil browser of the Michigan sportsbook app.

Spread the Love for Michigan State at FanDuel Sportsbook
FanDuel is wasting no time whetting Michiganders’ appetites, either, when it comes to the NCAA Tournament games and March Madness excitement.
Michigan State, which squeaked its way into the field of 68 teams, is playing in Thursday’s First Four round against UCLA.
The Spartans began as 2-point favorites over the Bruins on many betting outlets. But FanDuel is offering players a chance to turn MSU’s odds more in their favor by betting on Tom Izzo’s team.
The Michigan State-UCLA game is the focus of FanDuel’s Spread the Love promotion early in the tournament. For every 2,500 players who wager on the Spartans, the betting line will move a point in Michigan State’s favor.
There is no limit to how good the line could get, and anyone who bets the promotion at any time before Thursday’s 9:57 p.m. tipoff will get the final (best possible) odds. The maximum wager for the bet is $50, and the payout will be at -110.
The most important factor is to place the bet through the specific Spread the Love market, which is running in all active FanDuel states except Tennessee.
At last check on Monday afternoon, the Spartans were already sitting at +28.5 at FanDuel through the promotion. That’s a 30-point move, and the line can only improve. So although there are never sure things in sports betting, you’d already be on solid ground here.
