Michigan, New Jersey USA SCOOP Series At PokerStars Features $3 Million In Guarantees

New Jersey and Michigan online poker players rejoice! The PokerStars 2023 USA SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker) is set to take place from March 17 through April 3, and it promises to deliver plenty of fun, excitement, and cold hard cash.

In fact, this will be the largest tournament series prize pool PokerStars has ever offered in the US market.

The 2023 version in the is particularly noteworthy and unique as this will be the first time that SCOOP will be shared across the player pools of PokerStars MI and NJ. This, of course, will create larger player pools that allow PokerStars to offer a massive $3 million guaranteed prize pool across three weeks of action.

SCOOP was previously available separately in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey. Pennsylvania will have its own PASCOOP series offering $2 million in guarantees.

Michigan, New Jersey combined USA SCOOP Series details

The PokerStars MI/NJ USA SCOOP series will feature a wide range of tournaments in three separate buy-in levels: Low, Medium, and High. In fact, PokerStars is offering $9,500 across three ‘Champion at Every Level’ leaderboards with every SCOOP event, excluding satellites, included in the rankings. 

“We’re thrilled to announce our largest series guarantee ever to players in the US,” said Severin Rasset, Managing Director of PokerStars in the US, in a press release. “We’ve made a concerted effort to ensure that this series is accessible to all players by curating an inclusive schedule with a wide range of buy-ins. Our aim is to provide everyone with the opportunity to compete for a coveted SCOOP trophy.”

The headliner of the PokerStars MI/NJ SCOOP series will undoubtedly be the $300 Main Event, which will boast a whopping $300,000 guaranteed prize pool. This will take place on Sunday, April 2.

Michigan online poker players can either buy directly into the Main Event or attempt to qualify via satellite, with satellites starting from just $1. In addition, there are $3 SCOOP Spin & Go’s and freerolls for those who make a qualifying deposit.

In addition to the headliner, both MI/NJ SCOOP and PASCOOP will provide 42 unique trophy events, with buy-ins ranging from $10 to $2,500 for the low, middle, and high levels. If the $300 buy-in, $300K GTD Main Event is too rich for your blood, there’s also the $50 buy-in, $50K Mini Main Event.

If High Rollers are more your thing, there’s a $2,500 buy-in, $125K Main Event with your name on it. Perhaps you’ll play all three!

That’s not the only exciting event that’s going down as PokerStars will host three separate PokerStars MI/NJ SCOOP Sunday Specials on March 19. They’ll carry guarantees of $20K, $125K and $100K. 

There’s also the KO Special Championship the following Sunday, March 26, for all you who love playing bounty tournaments.
