Boxing fans in Michigan should get a treat on Saturday, and if used some correctly, a few Wilder-Fury promos available for Michigan sports betting might make it a rewarding night in a monetary way, too.
Several MI sportsbooks have readied offers and fortunately, most of them are available to all eligible bettors.
Most of the deals focus on odds boosts, but they require you to be selective. In instances like this, your handicapping will drive which offers you take advantage of.
BetMGM offering Wilder-Fury promos in MI
Among the current options at BetMGM Sportsbook are boosted odds for props on the fight. Those include:
- Fight to end in rounds 4-6, +260
- Tyson Fury to win by TKO/KO/Technical Decision or DQ, -110
- Fight to go the full 12 rounds, +185
- Deontay Wilder to win by TKO/KO/Technical Decision or DQ, +275
This bout is for the WBC heavyweight title and is slated for 10 p.m. ET on Saturday. It’s the last of three fights between the two, which last saw Tyson Fury prevail in the seventh round in December 2018.
BetMGM released some betting details for the fight on Thursday morning with action pouring in for Wilder. The book says 86.4% of 2-way handle is on Wilder, a +220 underdog. The three most-bet props all involve a convincing Wilder victory: First, Wilder to win in round one (+4000); then, Wilder to win by KO/TKO/technical decision or DQ (+275); and third, Wilder to win within 60 seconds (+10000).
Michiganders can watch the fight, emanating pay-per-view from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Neither fighter has stepped in the ring since their December 2018 meeting.
That fact might play into whether you take DraftKings Sportsbook up on a longshot prop with appropriate odds.
DraftKings paying out big for a quick result
Currently, DraftKings has a special prop market on this fight ending quickly. You can get +6500 odds on this bout lasting 60 seconds or less.
At those odds, this market might be worth a flier. Although Wilder has an impressive list of knockouts under his belt, Fury has yet to be knocked out in his career.
Thus, it seems it would take some kind of intervention into the fight to end it within a minute. Perhaps some egregious rule violation would do it as well. Barring those circumstances, this fight will probably see at least a second minute.
Still, these odds aren’t anything to sneeze at. Even just a $5 wager stands to give a profit of $325. For new bettors in MI who want to stake that amount on this fight, there could be a better deal, though.
New customers can get $150 on a $5 wager
If you’re new to FanDuel Sportsbook, Wilder vs. Fury might be a great event to get into the ring with. To take advantage, sign up for FanDuel and make your first deposit of at least $10.
Then, stake either fighter to win outright as your first real-money bet. The maximum wager for this offer is $5. Whether you win or lose that bet, FanDuel will give you $150 in site credit.
Should you make the right decision, you’ll also get the winnings from your wager as normal. Currently, Fury is a -290 favorite on the moneyline while Wilder sits +230 at FanDuel in MI.
Whether Fury retains his title or not is something that bettors will have to watch Saturday night to see. However, the time is now to do your research and get in on these deals.
