After more than two years, Gun Lake Casino will be re-opening its poker room on Friday, Dec. 16.
Forced to close at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gun Lake’s poker room will be celebrating its re-opening on Friday with hourly promotions.
This is the latest happening in a big year of news for Gun Lake Casino.
Gun Lake Poker Room reopening promos
To commemorate the poker room re-opening, Gun Lake Casino will be providing hourly Hold ‘Em High Hand promotions of $500 from 3-11 p.m. on Friday through Sunday.
A Made Hand Progressive will also get underway on Friday and will run through Feb. 1 for guests playing at any live Texas Hold ‘Em cash poker game during this promotional period.
“We know our guests have been eager for our poker room to open back up, and we finally feel we are far enough past the pandemic that we can do so safely,” said Jose Flores, Gun Lake Casino’s Vice President and General Manager in a press release. “We’re excited to bring the poker room back for our guests, and offer another great way for them to enjoy gaming entertainment here with fellow poker players.”

Gun Lake in midst of expansion
Last May, Gun Lake had a ceremonial groundbreaking to begin a $300 million Phase 5 expansion to the west side of its property.
The expansion will include a new 15-floor hotel and an Aquadome. The Aquadome will include three pools, but also be able to convert into a concert venue and banquet center.
“Phase 5 will transform the property into becoming a first-class destination resort. Without question, its design attributes will create a unique entertainment experience,” said Gun Lake Casino CEO, Sal Semola last June. “Over the past 11 years, the Gun Lake Tribe and our Gun Lake Casino Team Members have worked tirelessly to make this all a possibility. This is just the next step towards making our property the premier entertainment destination in the Midwest.”
HBG Design is handling the expansion plans, which are scheduled to be finished by March of 2025.
