- Two cards are dealt to the player box and two to the banker box.
- The dealer reveals the point total for each hand. Tens and face cards count as zero, and all other cards count at face value. If a total runs past 10, only the second digit counts, so a 9 and a 6 total 15, which plays as 5.
- If either hand totals eight or nine on the first two cards, that’s a natural, and the hand ends immediately.
- If there’s no natural, the player hand draws a third card on a total of zero to five and stands on six or seven.
- The banker hand then draws or stands based on its own total and, if the player drew, the value of that third card.
- Whichever hand is closer to nine wins. On a tie, only tie bets pay out.
