About PlayMichigan

Since 2018, PlayMichigan has been a regularly updated local resource for news and information about the Michigan online gambling industry.

With the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), we have offered extensive coverage of online casinos and sports betting, as well as Detroit’s three retail casinos and 24 tribal casinos across the state. Read below to learn who we are, how we operate, and how to get in touch with us.

The PlayMichigan mission

Our mission at PlayMichigan is simple. It comes down to four words:

⚒️ Help: We help players get the tools they need to enjoy all the gaming experiences Michigan has to offer.

    • If that’s a Michigan promo code, we’ll share it with you. If it’s a customer support number at a Michigan sportsbook, we’ll list it.

💡 Inform: We present the news that’s shaping the state’s gaming industry in one straightforward news feed.

      • Our writers’ coverage of the Michigan online gambling industry has been cited by sites such as Sports Illustrated, NPR, and Business Insider.

⚖️ Evaluate: In Michigan, you have dozens of online and retail casinos and sportsbooks to choose from. Each of our editors has spent hundreds of hours reviewing every legal and regulated igaming operator in the state.

🎲 Entertain: We believe that gambling, at its best, should be fun. That’s why you’ll find responsible gambling sections on nearly all of our pages to help you tailor a gaming experience that works with your budget.

The team at PlayMichigan follows a specific formula, whether we’re reviewing casinos, sportsbooks, poker sites, or any other online gambling market. Our in-depth How We Rate guide breaks these components down in detail, but here are a few top-level details to know:

✅ Our site deals only with Michigan Gaming Control Board-regulated sites. We do not cover the offshore market, and we educate our visitors about the risks associated with theoe sites.

✅ Every licensed online casino and sportsbook in Michigan gets reviewed by our editors.

✅ We scour the sites we play. We take hundreds of spins on a slot machine. We play live dealer games at length, and we interact with the dealers to fully capture the experience. We reach out to customer support with every question that arises. We try every site on desktop and mobile (where available). We think like players because that’s who our audience is, and that’s who we are.
