Explaining the WSOP Online Michigan new player offers
If you use our exclusive WSOP Michigan promo code PLAYMICH, you don’t need to do anything else in order to be eligible to receive the 100% first deposit bonus that is matched up to $1,000. Notice that this bonus offer is only for your first WSOP deposit. You can also receive as much as $100 more in bonus play for a potential total of $1,100 in bonuses.
The deposit match bonus is simple. Make an initial deposit of at least $10, and you can get up to 100% of your deposit amount as a bonus up to a maximum of $1,000. Be aware, though, that you do have to satisfy a playthrough requirement to get the bonus money. You complete the requirement by earning Action Player Points (APPs), which you receive whenever you contribute to the rake in a cash game hand or pay a tournament fee. You earn 2 APPs for every $1 you contribute in rake, and you also get 2 APPs for every $1 you pay for tournament fees.
For every 50 APPs you earn, $5 of bonus money will be released. You get 90 days to clear the requirement, so however far you get, you’ll keep receiving those $5 installments of bonus money.
The second part of the welcome offer isn’t too complicated, either. You’ll receive both Free Play (i.e., bonus money you can use in cash games) and Tournament Tickets, and the amounts of each will be determined by your deposit amount. No matter how much you get, you’ll receive these bonuses on three separate days. Here’s how it breaks down:
- Players who deposit $10 to $250 will receive a $25 bonus: Day 0: $5 Free Play, $5 Tournament Ticket; Day 3: $5 Tournament Ticket; Day 5: $5 Free Play, $5 Tournament Ticket
- Players who deposit $25 to $500 will receive a $50 bonus: Day 0: $5 Free Play, $5 Tournament Ticket; Day 3: $5 Tournament Ticket, $10 Tournament Ticket; Day 5: $5 Free Play, two $10 Tournament Tickets
- Players who deposit $501 to $999 will receive a $75 bonus: Day 0: $5 Free Play, $5 Tournament Ticket; Day 3: two $5 Tournament Tickets, two $10 Tournament Tickets; Day 5: $5 Free Play, $30 Tournament Ticket
- Players who deposit $1000 or more will receive a $100 bonus: Day 0: $5 Free Play, $5 Tournament Ticket; Day 3: $10 Tournament Ticket, $30 Tournament Ticket; Day 5: $10 Free Play, $10 Tournament Ticket, $30 Tournament Ticket
Unlike with the deposit match bonus, there’s no extra playthrough requirement on this part of the offer. Just use your Free Play within seven days of receiving it and your Tournament Tickets within 14 days, and whatever you win with either becomes withdrawable cash.
Additionally, new Michigan players get a couple of extra bonuses when signing up — 7 spins on the Winner Spinner Wheel and a $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat Drawing Entry. Check the site for further details.

Ongoing promotions at WSOP Online Michigan
There are ongoing promotions at WSOP Online MI that give players opportunities to earn additional bonuses, win tournament entries, and receive other benefits. Note that for these ongoing bonuses, you typically won’t have to enter a WSOP MI promo code. Just keep an eye out for them as they do come along quite frequently. Some of these ongoing promos include:
- MEGA Reload Bonus — Existing players can receive a deposit match bonus that releases gradually as they generate rake and tournament fees.
- WSOP Online Bracelet Event Leaderboard — Earn points across eligible bracelet events and climb the leaderboard for additional prizes on top of tournament winnings.
- WSOP Online Circuit Event Leaderboards — Players earn leaderboard points during Circuit series events and can win additional rewards based on their overall performance.
- 25 Seat Scramble — Players compete for seats into major WSOP events through special qualifying tournaments and promotional prize pools.
Meanwhile, keep an eye out for WSOP Online Gold Bracelet events, the WSOP Online MEGA Circuit Event series, and other fun events constantly popping up in the lobby.
Poker Rewards at WSOP Poker Michigan
WSOP Online Michigan rewards players through its Poker Rewards program, which is also based on Action Player Points, or APPs. The amount of APPs you earn determines your monthly loyalty status. Once you reach Bronze status, APPs begin converting into WSOP Points, which can be redeemed for cash rewards.
The program is most valuable for regular players, since higher tiers offer better WSOP Point multipliers and stronger cashback-style rewards. Players can also link their WSOP MI account to Caesars Rewards, allowing online poker activity to contribute toward Caesars Rewards benefits. Overall, the rewards system is a nice perk, though casual players may find that it takes consistent volume to move beyond the lower tiers.
Is WSOP Online Poker legal in Michigan?
Absolutely. WSOP Online first launched in Michigan in 2022, after receiving a license from the Michigan Gaming Control Board. Anyone 21 or older who is physically located in MI can play real-money poker on the site or app. WSOP Online’s tribal casino partner in the state is the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, which operates multiple casinos, including Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel in Williamsburg.
The MGCB audits the games at WSOP Online to ensure they are fair. The site also implements additional security measures to ensure your personal information and funds are safe. You can trust WSOP Online as a legal, regulated place to play real-money games.
Does WSOP Online MI share a player pool with other states?
The World Series of Poker Michigan site shares a player pool with other states and, in fact, offers the largest multi-state player pool of any poker network in the US. Michigan is part of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement, which thereby allows it to link players on its site to those playing on WSOP Online in other states, too. Right now, WSOP Online Poker players get to sit down at virtual tables against each other from these four states:
- Michigan
- Nevada
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
Just one other operator — BetRivers Poker — links players from four states. That said, BetRivers Poker’s shared pool includes a couple of relatively small states, joining Delaware and West Virginia players with those from MI and PA.
The WSOP Online shared player pool means bigger fields for its tournaments and tournament series, including WSOP Online bracelet events and satellite events into live World Series of Poker tournaments.

WSOP Michigan app & website experience | 4.6/5 stars
WSOP Michigan employs the smooth, state-of-the-art Poker 8 platform. For many years, WSOP’s online sites in other states have continued to use an older, less impressive platform, but in WSOP Online reviews, the newer model has been received positively by players who have tried it.
The site has a much more modern look than the old WSOP platform, with a cool, dark color scheme. The lobby is clearly designed and easy to navigate. You’ll see links to choose between various game categories as well as bonuses and promotions. There’s a search bar with which you can search for particular game types or tournaments. You can also quickly access your account details in your “personal area.”

When you log in on your computer, the site first confirms your location via geolocation. Once it can tell you are in MI, you can proceed. Once you join a game, you’ll find the software runs smoothly with all the important information like your cards, stack sizes, and betting amounts clearly shown on screen.
There are many customizable features and other bells and whistles that additionally enhance the WSOP Online player experience. Another big positive is the way the site enables both multi-flight and multi-day tournaments. That’s especially nice for large tournaments such as those featured in the WSOP Online Circuit series and WSOP Online bracelet events.
On the whole, the client rivals PokerStars MI’s high-quality software in both its look and functionality. It rivals what you find at the new (and improved) BetMGM Poker MI site and at PokerStars at FanDuel MI.
The WSOP Online Michigan app does a good job bringing the site’s tournament-heavy experience to mobile devices. There are WSOP apps available for both iOS (Apple) and Android devices. Pay attention when downloading, though, because there are several other WSOP products in both Google Play and the App Store. When searching, type “WSOP Real Money Poker – Michigan,” and you’ll find what you’re looking for.

You’ll find cash games, Sit & Go’s, BLAST tournaments, and major tournament series all available through the app, making it easy to jump into a game whether you’re at home or on the go. The mobile software feels modern and well-organized, with straightforward navigation between cash games, tournaments, promotions, and account features.
WSOP MI has also added features such as mobile multi-tabling and improved tournament functionality in recent years, helping the app feel much closer to the desktop experience than it once did. I still prefer playing longer tournament sessions on a laptop, but for checking the lobby, registering for events, or playing a few hands on the go, the WSOP Online app ranks as one of the best Michigan online poker apps available right now.
Game selection at WSOP Online MI | 4.4/5 stars
Whenever I evaluate the game selection at an online poker site, I usually focus on two main factors: the variety of games available and the size of the player pool. A site can offer every poker variant imaginable, but if there aren’t enough players to keep tables running and tournaments attracting healthy fields, those options don’t mean much in practice.
WSOP Online performs well in both areas. While its game selection is largely limited to no-limit hold’em (with a little PLO as well), the site’s large shared player pool helps create some of the biggest tournament fields available to Michigan players.
WSOP Online Michigan cash games
As far as cash games go, and in fact all games at WSOP Online, there are only three variants:
- No-Limit Hold’em
- Pot-Limit Omaha
- Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo
I like other games as well, such as seven-card stud, razz, deuce-to-seven, and the like, but none of those are spread at WSOP Online. The cash game tables come heads-up, five- or six-handed, eight-handed, and nine-handed, and for NLH and PLO, the stakes range from $0.01/$0.02 blinds all the way up to $100/$200. The PLO hi-lo games are all six-handed and go from $0.25/$0.50 to $5/$10.
To be honest, whenever I’ve been on WSOP Online Michigan, I’ve only seen a handful of cash games at any one time, though compared to other sites, WSOP Online MI does a decent job of keeping these games going. If you like playing the “micros” or low-stakes games (like I do), you can usually find a no-limit hold’em game to play.
WSOP Online Michigan tournaments
The tournaments are much more active at WSOP Online MI, with most players gravitating toward those. You’ll find freerolls with $100 added prize pools (always nice to see) as well as a regular schedule of multi-table tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $1 up to $215, many with guaranteed prize pools. The main formats are:
- Freezeout and re-entry tournaments — Traditional multi-table tournaments with either a single entry or the ability to re-enter after elimination.
- Turbo and deepstack events — Faster-paced tournaments for quick sessions alongside slower-structured events that emphasize post-flop play.
- Progressive Knockout (PKO) and Mystery Bounty tournaments — Popular bounty formats that reward players for eliminating opponents.
At certain times, you’ll also see WSOP Circuit events as well as World Series of Poker Bracelet Events. When I was on there during the summer when the WSOP was happening in Las Vegas, there were close to 30 bracelet events, many costing $250 or $400 to play, with a high roller for $5,300. There were plenty of cheap satellites for all those tournaments, too, giving players a way to win their way in relatively inexpensively.
Remember, WSOP Michigan Online shares players with the WSOP sites in New Jersey, Nevada, and Pennsylvania, which means these tournaments tend to feature decent fields and nice prize pools.
WSOP Online Poker Sit-n-Go’s, Blast Poker & other game types
Like the cash games, the sit-n-go’s at WSOP Online tend not to attract too much action, although you can usually find players willing to sit down for them. Buy-ins range from $1 to $100, only NLH and PLO are available, and you can play heads-up, six-handed, or full ring.
BLAST Poker is WSOP Online’s version of the jackpot sit-n-go, as other sites feature as well. These games are like regular SNG’s, but randomly select the prize pool before play begins. With only three players, rapidly increasing blinds, and prize multipliers ranging from 2x to 10,000x the buy-in, the format is designed for players looking for quick games and the chance at a massive payout. I’ve seen the buy-ins range from $0.30 to $100 for these, and they’re all no-limit hold’em.
Beyond that, WSOP Online used to have a “fast-fold” game called SNAP Poker, but the last time I checked, I didn’t see it. Like similar offerings at other sites, it never attracted much interest, so I imagine they’ve discontinued it.

Banking options at World Series of Poker Michigan | 4.4/5 stars
WSOP Michigan Online offers a variety of banking options, including debit cards, PayPal, online banking, prepaid cards, and cash transactions at participating properties. Most deposit methods have a minimum deposit of $10, while withdrawal times vary depending on the method selected. The table below shows the primary ways players can fund their accounts and cash out their winnings.
| Method | Deposits | Deposit Minimum | Withdrawals | Withdrawal Minimum / Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Debit Card | ✅ | $10 | ✅ | $10 / 1-4 business days |
| Credit Card | ✅ | $10 | ❌ | N/A |
| PayPal | ✅ | $10 | ✅ | $10 / 1-5 business days |
| Online Banking (ACH) | ✅ | $10 | ❌ | N/A |
| Play+ Prepaid Card | ✅ | $10 | ✅ | $10 / 1-5 business days |
| Cash at Casino Cage | ✅ | $10 | ✅ | $10 / Varies |
As with most regulated gambling sites, WSOP Online generally requires players to withdraw funds to the same deposit method whenever possible. First-time withdrawals may also trigger an additional identity verification review, which can slightly delay processing. In my experience, PayPal and the Play+ card are usually the quickest options.

WSOP Online customer support | 4.5/5 stars
WSOP Online provides customer support through live chat, an online messaging system, and a fairly comprehensive Help Center. I would prefer to see phone support available as well, but the site’s FAQ section covers most common issues, and live chat is generally the fastest way to get assistance when needed.
One drawback to live chat is that it is only available from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time each day. That’s okay, but not as ideal as 24/7 support as you find elsewhere. Meanwhile, the “Message Us” method in the client does get you a reply within a few hours, I’ve found.
| Support Method | Does WSOP Have it? | Our Experience |
|---|---|---|
| Live chat | Works fairly well, but only available eight hours a day from 3-11 p.m. ET. | |
| Click "Message Us" on the site or app, share your query, and you'll get a response within a few hours (usually). | ||
| Phone | Not available. | |
| FAQ | The Help Center is well-organized, easy to search, and has been updated. It's better than average as an FAQ section. |
Pros and cons of WSOP Online MI
The WSOP Online tournament schedule is great. The fact that the site features the largest shared player pool among all the US poker networks also should make it a go-to site for most players, especially no-limit hold’em tourney players. The lack of options beyond NLH and PLO is too bad, but frankly, that isn’t too unusual and not a huge mark against WSOP Online. Below are my main WSOP Online pros and cons:
Pros
- Large and varied tournament schedule for all bankrolls, including WSOP Online bracelet events
- Shared player pool among four states creates large tournament fields & prize pools
- Smooth-running software on both the web-based site and app
Cons
- Welcome bonus takes some time and effort to unlock
- No stud games or other mixed variants
- Cash games can be fairly slow at certain times of day (tournaments are much more popular)
Sites like WSOP Online Michigan: How does it compare?
Michigan poker players have four sites where they can play their favorite card game online. The table below shows how WSOP Online MI compares to the other sites in a few key areas:
I would recommend BetMGM Poker Michigan as your best choice, aside from WSOP Online MI. I say that in part because BetMGM Poker has a shared player pool across six sites in three states, including not just BetMGM Poker sites but Borgata Poker and partypoker, too. WSOP Online Michigan continues to do well with its multi-state player pool and tends to have the largest tournament fields of any site.

There is one other way to play online player-versus-player poker in the state. If you visit DraftKings Casino Michigan, you’ll find a game called Electric Poker, a three-player, jackpot sit-n-go game comparable to the Blast game on WSOP Online. That’s it, though, as far as playing poker against other players at DraftKings Casino, although there is a selection of video poker titles and poker-themed table games (i.e., player-versus-house games).
Give WSOP Online Michigan a try
It has been a challenging time for US online poker players ever since “Black Friday” (way back in 2011) took away most options for most players across the country. Michigan players are in a good spot now, though, with a nice selection of sites and WSOP Online MI one of the better ones to play on. I recommend joining up for the constant tournament action and occasional chances to win WSOP Online bracelets or entries into WSOP live events. The upgraded software has improved the player experience at WSOP Online significantly as well, making it a solid option worth adding. Give WSOP Michigan a try, and be sure to use our WSOP Michigan promo code when you do.
