Evolution Gaming is introducing Ezugi as another live dealer brand in the US, and is coming to Michigan to provide more games in the state.

Evolution Gaming North America CEO, Jacob Claesson, told PlayMichigan via email:

“To meet these growing player and customer demands, we need to increase our delivery capacity and physical footprint.”

Live dealer games have become incredibly popular on Michigan online casinos. Evolution Gaming is certainly giving people what they want in the Great Lakes State, and is hiring hundreds of more employees to do so.

How Ezugi impacts iGaming players in Michigan

Because of the demand of live dealer games in Michigan, Evolution is rolling out a second live dealer brand. It originally acquired Ezugi in 2018 with expansion in mind, as Claesson noted.

“Ezugi specializes in developing live dealer games with localized content tailored to each market they operate in. That means that in addition to the core live dealer games, we will be able to bring a few unique games to the US market which we believe will resonate well with Michigan players.”

More blackjack games are going to be available for Michigan players, since it is the most popular live dealer game. In addition, Claesson added that Ezugi will be launching Triple Zero Roulette, an exciting variant often found in Las Vegas casinos.

“This investment is significant, but it aligns with our goal to grow the Live Dealer vertical in the US. Live dealer casino is still in its infancy compared to where we believe it can be, and we aim to establish Ezugias the clear second live dealer brand in the US.”

Ezugi has a collection of games, according to Evolution’s website. Some of those include:

  • Ultimate Roulette
  • Ultimate Sic Bo
  • Lucky 7
  • Casino Hold ‘Em
  • Russian Poker

Expect to see more games in the Great Lakes State soon.

Evolution significantly expands footprint in Michigan

Since Evolution is bringing in another brand into the state, that means more space and more employees. Claesson told PlayMichigan that Evolution built a brand new, state-of-the-art studio in Grand Rapids. It is also expanding its existing studios in Southfield.

Evolution currently employees around 700 people in the Great Lakes State. Following the expansion, the company expects to be over 1,000 employees in Michigan alone by 2025, says Claesson.

“This expanded footprint also allows us to enhance employee areas, such as break rooms, changing rooms, and more. We want to be one of the best places to work in any market that we operate in, and Southfield is no exception.

Michigan is one of the top online casino markets in the US, right behind Pennsylvania. Michigan has generated $1.75 billion in iGaming revenue thus far in 2024. Pennsylvania sits at $1.93 billion. Evolution certainly recognizes that, and is making a significant investment into the Mitten.
