Every sportsbook wants bettors to keep betting. Fanatics Sportsbook, however, pays them to do it, whether the bet actually cashes or not.

FanCash is the operator’s standing loyalty currency, and it runs independently of the football season’s hero-day promotions.

Every settled wager at Fanatics Sportsbook earns cash back, win or lose, with the rate tied to the odds on the bet itself.

Week 0 of college football betting in Michigan kicks off this week, Saturday, Aug. 29, with the first full slate of the season landing the following Saturday, Sept. 5. The NFL season opens a little more than a week after that, spread across four separate game days. Between all the kickoffs, Michigan bettors are about to place more wagers than at any other stretch of the year, and FanCash accrues on every one of them.

How much does that actually come out to?

Those wagering at Michigan sportsbooks at -110 or shorter odds, earn back somewhere between 0.01% and 1% of the wager. That rate climbs the longer the odds get: 1% to 3% in the -105 to +600 range, 3% to 6% between +610 and +2,100, and as high as 9% to 10% once the odds stretch out past +4,750.

A $75 parlay at +800 falls in the middle of that scale, and at a 4% earn rate, returns $3 in FanCash regardless of whether the parlay hits. While small on one ticket. it adds up over a season of action.

What makes FanCash different?

DraftKings Dynasty Rewards, BetMGM Rewards, and Caesars Rewards all work on a similar Michigan Michigan sports betting promotion premise: points that accrue on money wagered rather than money won, later convertible into bonus funds.

Fanatics’ FanCash rewards every bet placed. FanCash converts roughly 1 for 1 into either bonus bets at Fanatics Sportsbook or Fanatics’ broader retail catalog, apparel, trading cards, event tickets, and memorabilia sold across the company’s e-commerce business. DraftKings, BetMGM and Caesars route their rewards toward more betting credit or casino-resort perks like hotel stays and dining instead, since those operators are tied to physical casino properties.

Fanatics has no hotel to comp a room at or retail casino operation. FanCash can be used at its online store to purchase a wide variety of merchandise or event tickets.

FanCash does come with an expiration date. It expires Dec. 31 of the year it’s earned unless redeemed first, and bonus bets converted from FanCash expire 90 days after that conversion. It isn’t a currency built to stockpile.

Read the full terms and conditions before opting in to see whether the program fits how you bet. Bettors must be 21 or older and physically located in Michigan.

Keep in mind that a bonus bet disappears the moment it’s used. FanCash sticks around longer.

Even on wagers that lose.
