Hard Rock Bet becomes 15th iGaming site in Michigan

Hard Rock Bet launched in Michigan on Dec. 1, bringing the total number of iGaming apps in the state to 15, the maximum allowed under gaming law.

Users can access both iGaming and sports wagering within the same app and Hard Rock Bet account.

The app is currently offering slots, jackpot slots, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, pai gow, video poker, and craps. In addition, Michigan is one of the few states that permits live dealer poker, which is also found in the Hard Rock Bet app.

Sports wagering odds from Hard Rock Bet include the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football, and other sports, including golf, tennis, international sports, and more.

Hard Rock Digital Executive Managing Director-CEO Marlon Goldstein touted the company’s move into the Michigan market.

“Our launch in Michigan builds on our momentum as we bring the legendary Hard Rock experience to more fans across the country, offering a trusted online casino and sportsbook on our top-rated and easy-to-use platform.”

Hard Rock buying 888 Holding to increase US footprint

Per state law, gaming operators must partner with a tribal nation in Michigan to gain access to the market. Hannahville Indian Community, through its gaming license to operate Island Resort & Casino, had that capability, and is marking a new milestone partnering with Hard Rock.

Hard Rock is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which owns and operates dozens of gaming locations nationwide, and also has the online gaming under its Hard Dock Digital division. The company is in the process of purchasing 888 Holdings, a British gaming company. Those assets will enable Hard Rock to expand its footprint in iGaming and online sports wagering in the US.

Hard Rock Bet has received positive feedback for its gaming app. At the Apple Store, the platform has a 4.9 rating, the highest of any online casino app available. The rating on Google Play for Android devices is 4.7 currently.
