Incentive Games was awarded a gaming license in Michigan this week. The games manufacturer can now produce titles for online casino players in the Great Lakes State.

Michigan is the first market the Edinburgh, Scotland-based company has gained access to in North America.

Incentive COO Ahmed Baker said the license represents a milestone for the company, which began developing video games in 1983.

“Securing our Michigan license marks an exciting new chapter for Incentive Games. It’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to meeting the highest regulatory standards and unlocks a significant opportunity for us in a critical North American growth market.”

Company features tower, crash, and arcade games

Incentive offers a plethora of services to operators. The company specializes in crash games, tower games, and arcade games.

According to Incentive’s website, tower games test a player’s decision-making and balances risk and reward. The games are designed for sustained play and session depth.

Crash games are real-time multiplayer games that feature boosts, bonuses, and drops, while arcade games offer instant-delivery outcomes with a minimal learning curve. Two of its arcade games are Turbo Roulette and Blackjack.

The company has not said what titles will be available at Michigan online casinos.

Incentive moving into real-money games

Incentive Games has been known for its free-to-play offerings in other markets. It is now focused on producing real-money games. The switch coincided with the launch of Incentive Studios.

CEO John Gordon said last month that the company is ready to evolve.

“We’ve spent years refining the art of engagement in the free-to-play world. Now, we’re bringing that same level of craft, creativity, and player psychology to our real-money games. Incentive Studios is where innovation meets performance.”

Despite not listing specific titles of games on its website, the company noted with the launch of Incentive Studios that it has a “growing library of original titles in the works, with the first wave landing with partners in Q3 2025.”

Baker said the company will be looking to develop relationships with game operators serving the Michigan market.

“This will allow Incentive Games to forge new partnerships and bring our highly engaging real-money games directly to players in Michigan.

“We’re very grateful to the MGCB (Michigan Gaming Control Board) for this achievement, which is a pivotal step in our global expansion strategy as we continue to deliver world-class products and build strong partnerships in the region.”
