A Michigan player put $1.06 on a spin at Hollywood Online Casino Michigan on Sunday.
They walked away with more than $3.65 million.
The money came from DropZone, Hollywood Casino’s progressive jackpot, and it hit while the customer was playing Bao Zhu Fu Red, an Aristocrat slot. According to Hollywood Casino, it’s the third-largest online casino jackpot in Michigan history and the fifth-largest in US online casino history.
Do the math and it gets a little silly. The payout is more than 3.4 million times the bet.
Not bad for a buck and six cents.
Where does it rank among Michigan online casino jackpots?
Michigan already owns the top of the national list, and DraftKings Casino owns the top of Michigan’s. Both of the state’s two biggest jackpots came off 20-cent spins:
- $22.4 million, DraftKings Casino, Huff N’ Even More Puff, November 2025
- $9.28 million, DraftKings Casino, Irish Pot Luck, February 2025
- $3.65 million, Hollywood Casino, Bao Zhu Fu Red, October 2026
So Sunday’s hit is the only one of Michigan’s top three not paid out by DraftKings.
Hollywood Casino’s second DropZone hit in five weeks
This isn’t the first time DropZone has done this lately.
On Aug. 30, a Pennsylvania player turned a $5.10 bet into $4,365,327 on DropZone, the largest jackpot Hollywood Casino has paid to date. Sunday’s Michigan hit came 35 days later. Hollywood Casino called it the second multimillion-dollar win on its platform in a little over a month.
The Michigan winner got there on a bet about one-fifth the size.
How DropZone works for Michigan players
DropZone builds from play across Hollywood Casino’s game catalog by players who opt in. Participating games carry the DropZone logo on the game tile, and only opted-in players on those games have a shot at it.
In Michigan, Hollywood Casino runs as a standalone app, which launched in January 2025, and inside the theScore Bet Sportsbook app. Its parent company, PENN Entertainment, also operates Hollywood Casino at Greektown in downtown Detroit.
Outside Michigan, Hollywood Casino’s online casino is live in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
The top of Michigan’s jackpot list still belongs to DraftKings.
The No. 3 spot now belongs to a $1.06 spin.
