MotorCity Casino has launched a September promotion allowing qualifying loyalty members from Detroit’s two other commercial casinos to receive Club Metro VIP status through the end of 2026.
The offer gives MGM Grand Detroit and Hollywood Casino at Greektown customers access to upper-tier benefits at MotorCity Casino Hotel without earning the Signature Points normally required. Qualifying customers can begin using the benefits after their match is approved and retain the new status for the remainder of the year.
Customers must visit MotorCity during September and present an active loyalty card showing one of the qualifying statuses.
Four loyalty levels qualify for a match
The tier-match promotion offers two Club Metro levels based on a customer’s current status:
- Hollywood Casino Preferred members receive Club Metro Signature status.
- Hollywood Casino Elite members receive Club Metro Signature Elite status.
- MGM Grand Detroit Gold members receive Club Metro Signature status.
- MGM Grand Detroit Platinum members receive Club Metro Signature Elite status.
MotorCity does not list matches for customers at other MGM Rewards or Hollywood Casino loyalty levels. The promotion also does not provide access to Signature Premium, Club Metro’s invitation-only highest level.
Under Club Metro’s standard qualification system, customers must accumulate at least 15,000 Signature Points to receive Signature status or 36,000 points to reach Signature Elite. The promotion grants the corresponding status to qualifying competitors’ customers without requiring them to build that points balance through play at MotorCity first.
Customers must claim the match in person
The match can be completed at MotorCity’s VIP Services desk between 11 a.m. and midnight during September. The casino is located at 2901 Grand River Ave. in Detroit.
Participants must bring their active MGM Grand Detroit or Hollywood Casino loyalty card and a valid photo ID. Both are required so MotorCity can confirm the customer’s identity and verify that the loyalty status qualifies for a match.
MotorCity says participation is limited to eligible Club Metro members who are at least 21 years old.
The published terms do not state that customers must wager or spend a minimum amount to receive the match. However, some individual benefits are subject to minimum-play requirements.
Tier matches are nontransferable and have no cash value. MotorCity may deny or revoke a match if it cannot verify the customer’s identity, loyalty card, or eligibility.
Signature Elite increases most discounts to 20%
Both matched tiers include a personal casino host, private VIP parking, and complimentary dining in the members-only Signature Lounge. Members can also receive cashback through slot-point earnings, free slot play, birthday rewards, and monthly hotel offers.
Members at both tiers can also receive invitations to members-only slot tournaments, VIP parties, and other special events throughout the year.
Signature Elite members receive larger discounts across the property. Signature members receive 15% off casual dining, Sound Board tickets, hotel rooms, D.Tour Spa products, and eligible purchases at the Lacquer gift shop. Signature Elite members receive 20% off in each category.
Both levels also return 3% in comps on eligible cash or credit purchases involving dining, Sound Board tickets, hotel stays, and D.Tour Spa. Comps can also be redeemed for certain events, travel, and recreational rewards.
Both tiers include complimentary D.Tour Spa access with a hotel stay. Signature members receive 15% Bonus Bounce-Back Cash, while Signature Elite members receive 20%.
Receiving the matched tier does not automatically unlock every recurring reward. Free slot play, birthday rewards, and monthly hotel offers remain subject to minimum-play requirements.
