FanDuel is continuing to blend entertainment brands with iGaming in Michigan through the launch of Love Island: Unlocked, a new slot game based on the popular reality television franchise.

The game, developed exclusively for FanDuel Casino by White Hat Gaming, marks the latest chapter in FanDuel’s partnership with ITV Studios and arrives as “Love Island USA” prepares for another summer season.

Michigan is one of six jurisdictions where the game is available, joining New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, West Virginia, and Ontario.

FanDuel leans into entertainment-driven casino games

As competition in the Michigan online casino market remains intense, operators continue searching for ways to differentiate themselves beyond traditional online slots and table games.

FanDuel’s latest release ties directly into one of television’s most recognizable reality brands, combining gameplay features with familiar themes from the show.

Players can choose their favorite Islander through a Select-A-Character mode, while random modifiers inspired by the series can alter gameplay. Features include “Bombshell in The Villa,” which adds bonus symbols to the reels. Another feature, “Dumping Night,” refreshes the reels in search of larger payouts.

FanDuel Casino Senior Vice President of Marketing Daniele Phillips said the company was looking to tap into the excitement surrounding the show.

“As America’s No. 1 iGaming operator, we are constantly looking for innovative ways to bring fresh entertainment experiences to our customers while reaching new audiences.

“Love Island is known for having an incredibly passionate and engaged fanbase, and with this latest launch, we’re continuing to bring the spirit and thrill of the franchise to players in new ways, exclusively on FanDuel Casino.”

Madix promotes summer launch

The game’s debut coincides with the return of “Love Island USA.” It helps FanDuel capitalize on the franchise’s popularity during its busiest viewing period.

Ariana Madix, host of “Love Island USA,” is serving as the game’s lead ambassador.

“’Love Island’ has become a defining part of summer entertainment, so launching Love Island: Unlocked alongside the premiere of the new season feels like the perfect fit.

“It’s incredible to see so many iconic moments and fan-favorite elements from The Villa woven into the game in a way that creates an immersive experience that truly captures the energy, excitement, and fun viewers love about the series.”

Michigan players eligible for June promotion

The launch is also connected to FanDuel’s June Generosity campaign.

Throughout the month, eligible players can receive free reward box drops and entries into a promotion featuring a $500,000 prize pool. The grand prize is a luxury trip for two to Fiji through FanDuel’s Ultimate Island Giveaway sweepstakes.

FanDuel said additional promotions tied to its “Love Island” partnership are planned throughout the summer. The operator continues to expand branded gaming experiences across its iGaming platform.
