BetMGM has highlighted its Michigan SideBet jackpot launch in a quarterly update reporting $483 million in online casino net revenue. Casino revenue increased 6% from a year earlier, with the optional jackpot feature among the additions introduced during the period.
The Oct. 13 business update also reported a 2% increase in average monthly active casino customers and 4% growth in casino net revenue per active customer. Those results reflect the wider business rather than Michigan alone.
Michigan players can add jackpot entries to eligible games
The Michigan SideBet launch, announced Aug. 18, brought the feature to more than 200 games at BetMGM Casino. Most participating titles were slots, although the launch selection also included arcade-style games.
Opting in adds a fixed 10-cent charge to each qualifying wager. A player who keeps the feature enabled for 100 qualifying rounds would therefore spend an additional $10 on jackpot entries, on top of the wagers placed on the games.
Customers can stop participating through the casino homepage, promotion settings or the controls within eligible games. According to BetMGM, joining the jackpot feature does not change the outcome of the main casino game.
Mega jackpot begins at $500,000
BetMGM Jackpots offers four progressively larger prizes, with a Mini starting at $100 and a Minor at $6,000. The Major begins at $30,000, while the Mega has a $500,000 starting value.
These are the amounts used to start the jackpots, with participating side bets contributing to the pools as play continues. The launch figures should therefore be distinguished from the jackpot balances available when a customer opens a game.
Players can see current prize amounts, recent winners and the qualifying game selection through the BetMGM Jackpots interface. The operator said it would continue adding titles, and its game guide notes that participation can vary over time and between states.
Television franchises broaden the Michigan game selection
The quarterly update also identified Game of Thrones as BetMGM’s most successful game franchise launch, following releases across the US, Ontario and Alberta. Its Michigan offering includes Blueprint Gaming’s six-reel slot, which combines 4,096 ways to win with an Iron Throne Spins bonus.
September brought another television adaptation to Michigan through The Traitors Faithful Riches. The Games Global title launched Sept. 17 to coincide with the premiere of the franchise’s new television season.
Its five-reel, four-row format offers 1,024 ways to win, alongside bonus spins and The Traitor Feature. BetMGM secured the franchise rights through All3Media International, with the agreement covering table games and other casino formats as well as slots.
BetMGM plans to release more games based on The Traitors, extending the franchise into additional casino formats.
Casino growth extends beyond the third quarter
The $483 million quarterly casino result was $29 million above the $454 million recorded a year earlier. Casino net revenue for January through September reached $1.45 billion, compared with $1.35 billion in the first nine months of 2025, an 8% increase.
BetMGM did not disclose how much revenue came specifically from Michigan or from SideBet jackpot wagers. Its financial update provides companywide results rather than a state-by-state breakdown.
Combined net revenue from casino, sports betting and other operations reached $710 million, representing 7% annual growth. Adjusted EBITDA was $86 million for the quarter, up 112% from the same period last year.
