DraftKings has expanded its responsible gambling options with customizable account breaks, a football-themed self-assessment, and a sweepstakes tied to its existing player tools.
Customers in most jurisdictions can now choose a cool-off period lasting between three and 364 days. The exact options available to Michigan customers may depend on the DraftKings product they use.
DraftKings announced the initiatives on Sept. 14, shortly after the NFL season began. The additions are intended to give customers more information about their activity and greater control over how they gamble.
Custom cool-offs give DraftKings customers more flexibility
Previously, customers had to select from predetermined cool-off periods. The new setting allows them to enter a specific number of days within the range available to them.
Where DraftKings offers the full range, a player could choose a short break of several days, step away for a few months, or select another period of up to 364 days.
Once a cool-off begins, the customer cannot gamble through that DraftKings account for the period they selected. The feature may be useful for someone who has spent more than planned or noticed that they are gambling more frequently than intended.
A DraftKings cool-off does not restrict access to accounts held with other operators. Michigan residents who want to stop using all state-regulated online casinos and sportsbooks can apply to join the Michigan Gaming Control Board’s Responsible Gaming Database.
Michigan maintains a separate Disassociated Persons List for people who want to exclude themselves from Detroit’s three commercial casinos. Additional details about both programs are available through the MGCB’s responsible gaming page.
Gamalyze American Football assesses player decisions
DraftKings has also introduced Gamalyze American Football, an interactive self-assessment developed with Mindway AI. The football-themed activity evaluates decisions made by participants instead of relying on their answers to a traditional questionnaire.
Mindway says the tool examines how players respond to potential rewards and losses. Each participant receives personalized feedback and an action plan based on their decisions.
The results may help customers consider whether their gambling behavior matches the limits they intended to follow. Gamalyze does not automatically change a player’s account settings. Anyone who wants to establish a spending limit or begin a temporary break must use DraftKings’ account controls separately.
DraftKings added Gamalyze Casino to its My Budget and Controls section in January. The operator later introduced a soccer-themed edition during the 2026 World Cup.
Sweepstakes highlights spending and activity tools
DraftKings is also using a PGA TOUR sweepstakes to draw attention to My Stat Sheet and My Budget Builder.
My Stat Sheet allows customers to review the time and money they have spent on DraftKings. That information can help players compare their actual activity with the amount they had expected to spend.
My Budget Builder focuses on planning before a customer gambles. It allows players to create an entertainment budget and review controls related to deposits, wagers, and time spent playing.
Eligible customers can enter the sweepstakes by using responsible gambling features such as My Stat Sheet and My Budget Builder. The promotion runs through Sept. 29, and customers should review its terms for complete eligibility and entry details.
Account settings can help customers monitor and manage their activity, but additional assistance is available for people who are having difficulty controlling their gambling.
