Sixteen months after joining the Michigan iGaming market, Fanatics is finding its stride. In May, the online casino operator enjoyed its highest monthly revenue total, $10.5 million.

Fanatics’ contributions helped Michigan online casinos generate an impressive $251.5 million in revenue last month, the industry’s second-best month ever, just behind March’s $260.5 million.

Revenue in May increased a whopping 27% year-over-year, a clear sign the industry is thriving.

Fantastic Fanatics

Fanatics Casino Michigan has been a real success story so far. Being late to the party has not deterred it from making a significant impact in the Great Lakes State.

The operator launched its standalone online casino app just last month in Michigan. Up until then, players could access its online games only through the Fanatics Michigan Sportsbook.

Even so, Fanatics’ monthly revenue from iGaming has improved nearly every month in 2025:

  • January: $7.8 million
  • February: $8.2 million
  • March: $9.2 million
  • April: $9.0 million
  • May: $10.5 million

Breaking the $10 million mark could be the first of many milestones for the Michigan online gaming operator.

BetMGM recaptures top spot

The back and forth between BetMGM Michigan and FanDuel Casino Michigan in 2025 has been captivating to watch. Their revenue was nearly deadlocked through the first four months.

BetMGM, however, created some distance in May after reporting $67.4 million in revenue, compared to FanDuel’s $65.9 million. The operators recorded nearly identical figures in April, but in reverse order.

BetMGM has now increased its lead in 2025 to nearly $2 million. It has amassed $328.1 million in earnings so far in 2025, while FanDuel has brought in $326.2 million.

The two companies are expected to jockey for the top spot throughout the rest of the year.

Online casinos eclipse $1 billion

With May’s totals in the books, Michigan online casino operators have generated $1.23 billion in revenue in 2025. The industry did not achieve that until June in 2024.

Operators are on pace to set another record by the end of 2025. They are averaging $246.2 million in monthly revenue, which puts the state on pace to make $2.95 billion in revenue this year.

Online casinos generated $2.44 billion in 2024, so this year could see nearly a 21% improvement.
