The Michigan online casino revenue story this year is highlighted by a fascinating race between the top two operators, FanDuel and BetMGM.

The platforms have posted nearly identical revenue totals through the first six months of 2025.

Operators generated $240.6 million in June revenue, the Michigan Gaming Control Board reported this week. FanDuel finished on top last month, giving it a slight lead in the race.

Halfway through 2025, the numbers couldn’t be much closer:

  • FanDuel: $388,481,448
  • BetMGM: $388,362,982

With another six months to go, the Michigan online casino industry is heating up.

Setting up for a photo finish

FanDuel finished the halfway point of 2025 just $118,466 above BetMGM.

Interestingly, the operators have swapped the top spot in revenue every month this year. In June, it was FanDuel’s turn, posting $62.3 million to BetMGM’s $60.3 million.

Out of the Big 3 online casino states, FanDuel is the top platform in Pennsylvania and New Jersey by a wide margin. BetMGM is giving it a run for its money in Michigan.

Fanatics takes another step forward

Last month was also about Fanatics Casino. The operator continued to shine in the Michigan market in June.

Fanatics reached double-digit revenue for the first time in May and followed that up with another solid month in June. It produced $12.1 million in revenue last month and has increased totals in nearly every month of 2025:

  • January: $7.8 million
  • February: $8.2 million
  • March: $9.2 million
  • April: $9.0 million
  • May: $10.5 million
  • June: $12.1 million

The trend should continue for Fanatics, as it is adding five WWE-themed games to its portfolio at the end of this month, just in time for SummerSlam on Aug. 2:

  • WWE Blackjack
  • Raw Multiplier Melee
  • SmackDown Big Money Entrance!
  • WWE Bonus Rumble Gold Blitz
  • WWE Clash of the Wilds

Horseshoe throws a ringer in June

Michigan online casinos actually produced the second-lowest revenue total of 2025 in June. However, Horseshoe Casino turned in its best performance.

Horseshoe is Caesars’ second skin in the market. While Caesars Palace online casino is the company’s main brand, Horseshoe continues to grow.

As a relatively new operator to the market, Horseshoe collected its highest amount of 2025 in June:

  • January: $2.7 million
  • February: $2.9 million
  • March: $3.3 million
  • April: $3.1 million
  • May: $2.8 million
  • June: $3.5 million

The summer months are expected to be slower as online casinos experienced a 4.3% month-over-month decline in June. There could be another dip or two before the market picks up again in September.
