FireKeepers Casino has alerted customers of major changes coming to the company’s online casino platform. The operator is planning to upgrade its app, which is scheduled for June 26.

A FireKeepers customer shared an email with PlayMichigan earlier this week about the overhaul. The email takes the visitor to the FireKeepers website with the following message:

“We are excited to announce that we are transforming our iGaming experience! FireKeepers is all about delivering top-tier entertainment, and we believe our iGaming platform should be no exception.

“Over the past 4 years, we have heard your concerns and frustrations. That’s why we’ve taken the time creating an experience that will match the quality and service you expect from FireKeepers Casino Hotel.”

There are a few steps FireKeepers Online Casino must make before the upgrade, which necessitates the temporary shutdown.

New games and payment methods coming

The operator has made the shutdown process extremely clear on its website, laying out day-by-day details.

  • Sunday, June 22: Shutting down registration and will not allow new account creation until completion.
  • Tuesday, June 24: All cashier functions are going to be temporarily disabled, which prevent any new deposits or withdrawal requests.
  • Thursday, June 26: Start of update as website and apps will not be available.
  • Friday, June 27: Upgrades are scheduled to be complete.

In a Q&A section on the website, FireKeepers listed the improvements that will be made.

“We are making substantial improvements to the platform, including additional payment methods, new games, and a brand new loyalty program.”

Customers don’t need to worry about cash balances, downloading a new app, or creating new credentials, the company said.

Out of 15 Michigan online casino operators, FireKeepers finished 14th in May. The operator is hoping the improvements to the platform give it a jolt in the Great Lakes State.
