Michigan players have until Sept. 28 to compete in Hollywood Casino’s Lightning Link Daily Sprint, a seven-day online slot tournament with $21,000 in PENN Play Credits available.
Each day, the 50 highest-scoring players receive a share of $3,000 in credits. The contest centers on two slots, Lightning Link High Stakes and Lightning Link Tiki Fire, and players must use cash to earn points.
The tournament began at noon Eastern on Sept. 21. Its final round closes at 11:59 a.m. Eastern on Sept. 28. In between, each day’s leaderboard runs from noon until just before noon the following day.
How to enter each day’s sprint
Michigan customers need an active, verified Hollywood Casino account to take part. They must press “Join Now” for each daily round they want to enter.
After joining, players can earn points by placing cash wagers on either eligible Lightning Link game. Wagers on other online slots do not count. Neither do bets placed with PENN Play Credits, because the tournament requires wagers funded from a player’s cash wallet.
Players can track their position on Hollywood Casino’s tournament page as the leaderboard updates. A spot among the top 50 during a round is not a guaranteed prize, since other players can move up before the round ends.
The noon cutoff is easy to overlook. A player joining after noon is entering a new daily round with its own scoring rules and qualifying minimum, rather than continuing the contest that ended that morning.
Points are earned differently during the week
Hollywood Casino uses three scoring methods over the promotion. On Sept. 23, 25 and 27, it awards one point for every $10 or more in winning cash wagers on the two eligible games. Players must earn at least two points on each of those days to qualify for a leaderboard prize.
The round beginning Sept. 24 instead awards one point for every 10 cents won. Hollywood Casino sets the qualifying minimum for that round at 500 points.
The rule changes again on Sept. 26. One point is awarded for every $20 in cumulative cash wagers on the eligible slots, whether or not those wagers win. Players need at least one point to qualify that day.
These dates mark the start of each round at noon Eastern. The Sept. 27 rules, for example, remain in place until the promotion ends shortly before noon on Sept. 28. Qualifying points alone do not earn a prize; the player must also finish in the daily top 50.
Daily prizes range from $10 to $1,500
The daily winner receives $1,500 in PENN Play Credits. Second place earns $300 and third place earns $200. Players ranked fourth through 10th get $50 each, those in 11th through 20th receive $35 each, and those in 21st through 50th get $10 each.
Hollywood Casino uses the amount wagered to break a tie for a position. Under the promotion’s rules, the player who wagered more during the promotion receives the higher-valued award.
Credits are added to winners’ accounts within 72 hours of a daily round ending and must be used within three days of receipt. They can be wagered on Hollywood Casino games or markets available through theScore Bet Michigan.
PENN Play Credits are not cash prizes that can be withdrawn immediately. They carry a one-time wagering requirement before any resulting winnings can be withdrawn. Players should check the current day’s rules and the credit restrictions in the full promotion terms before entering.
