Michigan BetMGM customers can use either online casino or sportsbook wagers to enter a new sweepstakes offering tickets to Game 2 of the WNBA Finals.
Michigan is one of only three states where BetMGM Casino wagers qualify, alongside New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Customers elsewhere must enter through sportsbook wagering or use the promotion’s free email method.
BetMGM will award two grand prize packages. Each winner receives two WNBA Finals tickets and $2,000 in withdrawable funds for travel and lodging. The operator estimates each package is worth $5,000.
The WNBA Swish-Stakes runs through Sept. 6 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Casino option reaches a major Michigan player base
Including casino wagering allows BetMGM to extend the sports-themed promotion to one of Michigan’s largest online casino audiences.
BetMGM generated $63.1 million in Michigan online casino revenue during July, ranking second among the state’s operators. Its revenue increased 1.9% from a year earlier despite declining 4.7% from June.
Overall, Michigan online casinos generated $302.8 million during July, marking the market’s fourth month above $300 million in the past five months.
However, most of BetMGM’s casino library is excluded from the sweepstakes. WNBA Gold and NBA Gold are the only two eligible games. Wagers on other slots, table games, and live dealer titles will not generate entries.
Michigan customers can find the offer in the Promotions section of their BetMGM account and opt in before wagering.
Wagering tiers begin at $10
Casino entries are based on cumulative real-money wagers placed during the promotional period:
- $10 wagered: One entry
- $20 wagered: Two entries
- $50 wagered: Five entries
- $100 wagered: 10 entries
- $250 wagered: 25 entries
Customers can reach a tier through multiple qualifying wagers rather than playing the full amount during one session.
The same thresholds apply through BetMGM Sportsbook Michigan. Any available sports market can qualify, so customers do not need to wager on the WNBA.
Sportsbook bets must be placed at odds of -200 or longer and settle before they count. Wagers that are cashed out, edited, or canceled are ineligible under the promotion rules.
The 25-entry limit applies across all methods. Using both casino and sportsbook wagers gives Michigan customers more ways to qualify but does not allow them to exceed the cap.

Email method does not require a wager
BetMGM also permits customers to participate without spending money. Email entries must be sent to BetMGMSweepstakes@BetMGM.com before the promotional period ends.
Each submission must use the subject line: “Legendary Experiences: WNBA Finals Sweepstakes.” Participants must include their full name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, daytime and evening telephone numbers, and BetMGM account user ID.
One valid email earns one entry. Anyone seeking the maximum through this method must send 25 separate submissions containing the required information.
BetMGM will conduct a random drawing at least one day after the sweepstakes closes. Two potential winners will be contacted by email or telephone and must respond with the requested information within five business days or forfeit the prize.
Participants must be at least 21 and have an active, verified BetMGM account. Customers using either wagering method must be physically located in an eligible state when placing their bets.
