A player at MGM Grand Detroit walked away with $1,063,739 on June 14 after hitting the high-limit progressive jackpot on the Dragon Link slot machine by Aristocrat Gaming. It’s the biggest single prize awarded at the property through the first half of 2026.

MGM Grand Detroit has awarded numerous $1 million jackpots for players since launching Aristocrat Gaming’s Dragon Link slot in July 2024.

Dragon Link delivers another million-dollar moment

This is only the third time someone has struck for at least $1 million at MGM Grand Detroit.

The largest jackpot ever hit at the property came in November 2024 for nearly $1.3 million.

The next highest came in July 2025 when a player went home with nearly $1.08 million.

The individual who won in June was the third highest, which still ranks as a significant payout.

Dragon Link is one of Aristocrat Gaming’s most popular titles globally, known for its progressive hold-and-spin mechanics and large jackpot potential. MGM Grand Detroit became the first commercial property in Michigan to introduce the $1 million high-limit progressive jackpot.

MGM Grand Detroit’s online partner is BetMGM Casino, which also offers plenty of online slots.

Big win adds to growing 2026 jackpot totals

MGM Grand Detroit confirmed that this is the largest jackpot win of 2026, so far.

It adds to the total jackpots awarded, which has reached $114.2 million this year and $16.7 million in June.

In 2025, customers walked away with more than $361 million in jackpot winnings. The property reported 143,000 individual jackpot wins.

Matt Buckley, president & COO of MGM Resorts Midwest Group, said in a press release earlier this year after announcing 2025’s prize total:

“These jackpots highlight the excitement that our guests can experience at MGM Grand Detroit. From incredible payouts to top headliners and amazing restaurants, MGM Grand Detroit delivers world-class entertainment that keeps guests coming back.”

MGM Grand commands the city’s commercial market. The venue recorded $52.8 million in revenue last month, which accounts for 46% market share. The brand has a strong online presence as its Michigan online casino accounted for 21% of the market share.

While the property offers generous jackpots, it’s also leading MotorCity Casino and Hollywood Casino at Greektown in total revenue.
