Michigan online casinos set a new monthly record for revenue and hit another worthy milestone in August.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board reported that operators produced $263.3 million in August revenue. With that total, it brought operators to over $9 billion in lifetime revenue.

The industry beat out the previous record, which was set back in March ($260.5 million).

After a down couple of months, Michigan online casinos improved revenue from July at a 3.9% rate and a year-over-year clip at 32.3%.

Another milestone for operators

With online casinos surpassing $9 billion in lifetime revenue, there are three platforms that have stood out. They are the only ones to have reached $1 billion in revenue. Those are:

There are certainly worthy operators under the market leaders. However, BetMGM, FanDuel and DraftKings have carried the load in the Great Lakes State.

Those three operators were crucial in another monthly revenue record the industry set.

FanDuel creates separation

FanDuel and BetMGM have been going head-to-head throughout the entire year. In August, the former started to take control of the race.

FanDuel generated $71.1 million in revenue compared to BetMGM’s $66.6 million last month. Through June, FanDuel had a narrow $118,466 lead over BetMGM in 2025.

That has expanded, since FanDuel led the market for two straight months. The standings are as follows through August:

  • FanDuel: $522.7 million
  • BetMGM: $516.9 million

BetMGM needs a strong fall season to catch up to FanDuel, which has declared itself as of late.

Fanatics makes another push

Fanatics Casino is one of the newer operators on the block. However, it is proving its worth throughout 2025.

Fanatics recorded $13.2 million in August revenue, which is nearly $1 million more than July’s output. The operator has been ascending in recent months:

  • April: $9 million
  • May: $10.5 million
  • June: $12.1 million
  • July: $12.3 million

Fanatics finished about $1.5 million behind Caesars, which holds the fifth spot in the market.
