In another bold move to protect Michigan players, the Michigan Gaming Control Board issued cease‑and‑desist letters this week to 15 unlicensed online gambling operators found to be targeting Michigan residents without proper authorization.

Michigan offers numerous legal and licensed sports betting and online casinos. The MGCB targeted companies lacking proper licensure, which include:

  • 7 Bit Casino
  • Avia Games Inc.
  • Grande Vegas Casino
  • High Country Casino
  • i Net Bet
  • Liberty Slots Casino
  • Lincoln Casino
  • Lucky Hippo Casino
  • Miami Club Casino
  • PrimaPlay Casino
  • Slot Madness
  • Slots Plus Casino
  • Sun Palace Casino
  • Vegas Casino Online
  • Vegas2Web Casino

MGCB continues crackdown

The MGCB going after unlicensed operators is nothing new. The regulator sent 26 cease-and-desist letters in July alone, with 19 of them coming in one sweep.

MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams emphasized this week the danger these unlicensed online gambling operators pose.

“These unlawful operators try to present themselves as legitimate entertainment options, but they offer zero player protections, no accountability, and a real risk to consumers. Our message is simple: If you want to offer gambling in Michigan, follow the law or we will stop you. We will continue to work aggressively to keep illegal gambling out of our state.”

Under Michigan law, internet gaming and sports betting must be offered only by MGCB‑licensed operators. These 15 platforms were violating the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and sections of the Michigan Penal Code by offering casino‑style games or interactive wagering without the required licensure.

The orders demand that each operator immediately halt all Michigan‑facing operations. Failure to comply may result in further enforcement actions in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Attorney General

As part of its “Play It Smart, Michigan” campaign, the MGCB continues to raise awareness about the dangers of illegal gambling. Through resources such as the Legal vs. Illegal Gaming webpage, residents are shown how to identify unlicensed sites, watch for misleading ads, and confirm if a platform is licensed via the MGCB’s official list.
